Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method of sharing information between users on a network, the method comprising:
receiving input at a headphone provided by a first user, the input comprising a command to transmit a disappearing voice message and metadata, wherein the metadata comprising a user setting specifying a condition for the disappearing voice message from the headphone; receiving audio input from the first user via the headphone to be included in the disappearing voice message; transmitting the disappearing voice message provided by the user and the metadata for the disappearing voice message to a network; providing an indication of the disappearing voice message to a second user of the network; enabling the disappearing voice message for listening by the second user of the network; and disabling the disappearing voice message for listening by the second user of the network responsive to the condition for the disappearing voice message being met.

2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the input comprises a voice command, a gesture proximate to the headphone, or a touch input to the headphone.

3 . The method of claim 2 wherein the input further comprises information identifying the second user.

4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the user setting comprises a number of times that the disappearing voice message is enabled for listening by the second user before being disabled for listening by the second user.

5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the user setting comprises a time to enable disappearing voice message for listening by the second user.

6 . The method of claim 1 wherein the user setting comprises a requirement that the second user provide an input to a device associated with the second user via which the disappearing voice message is accessed for listening.

7 . The method of claim 6 wherein the input to the device associated with the second user comprises continuous input during listening of the disappearing voice message.

8 . The method of claim 7 wherein disabling the disappearing voice message for listening by the second user comprises discontinuing the continuous input.

9 . The method of claim 1 wherein disabling the disappearing voice message for listening by the second user comprises deleting the disappearing voice message.

10 . The method of claim 1 further comprising:
converting the audio input to a text message as the disappearing voice message.

11 . The method of claim 1 wherein the headphone comprises a pair of earbuds.

12 . A method of sharing information between users of a media service, comprising:
transmitting content from a media service to a headphone of a first user of the media service; determining input provided by the first user via the headphone, wherein the input indicates a user preference related to the content provided to the headphone by the media service; transmitting the user preference related to the content from the headphone to the media service; and indicating the user preference related to the content at the media service.

13 . The method of claim 12 further comprising:
providing the user preference regarding the content indicated by the first user from the media service to a second user of the media service.

14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the input provided by the first user via the headphone comprises a hand gesture made proximate to the headphone, voice input to the headphone, a swipe on a touch pad of the headphone, a tap on the touch pad, a multi-finger touch on the touch pad, a swipe and hold on the touch pad, a swipe in more than one direction on the touch pad, or contact with the touch pad in more than one location.

15 . The method of claim 12 wherein the input provided by the first user via the headphone is associated with a command selected from a list consisting of a command to share a preference with a second user, a command to indicate a like, a command to indicate a geographic location, a command to indicate a rating, a command to indicate a purchase, and a command to gift the content.

16 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the input corresponds to a specific user preference relating to the content being played on the headphone.

17 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the input corresponds to a command to share metadata identifying the content played on the headphone with one or more other users.

18 . The method of claim 12 wherein the headphone comprises a pair of earbuds.
