Abstract

A support wrap comprising an upper portion defined by a plurality of upper free ends, wherein the upper portion operable to at least partially enclose a lower torso when the plurality of upper free ends overlap; a pair of lower portions defined by a plurality of lower free ends, wherein the pair of lower portions operable to enclose a leg when the plurality of lower free ends overlap; an inner lining, the inner lining being coplanar to the support wrap; and a plurality of fasteners placed at predetermined locations on the support wrap.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I/we claim:

         1 . A support wrap, the support wrap comprising:
 an upper portion defined by a plurality of upper free ends, wherein
 the upper portion operable to at least partially enclose a lower torso in a case where the plurality of upper free ends overlap;
   a pair of lower portions defined by a plurality of lower free ends, wherein
 the pair of lower portions operable to enclose a leg in a case where the plurality of lower free ends overlap;
   an inner lining,
 wherein the inner lining being coplanar to the support wrap; and
   a plurality of fasteners placed at predetermined locations on the support wrap.

         2 . The system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
 at least one auxiliary padding detachably attachable to the support wrap.

         3 . The system according to claim 2 , wherein
 the plurality of fasteners comprise a plurality of hook and loop latches, and each hook and loop latch having a hook tape and a loop tape of a predetermined size.

         4 . The system according to claim 3 , wherein
 the loop tape is larger than the hook tape to permit adjustment of the size of the support wrap, in a case where the loop tape is wrapped around the lower torso and the legs.

         5 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein
 the upper portion of the support wrap is defined by a crotch region, and the crotch region positioned to facilitate catherization and/or urination.

         6 . The system according to claim 5 , wherein
 the plurality of fasteners comprise a plurality of hook and loop latches, and each hook and loop latch having a hook tape and a loop tape of a predetermined size.

         7 . The system according to claim 6 , wherein
 the loop tape is larger than the hook tape to permit adjustment of the size of the support wrap, in a case where the loop tape is wrapped around the lower torso and the legs.

         8 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein
 the plurality of fasteners comprise a plurality of hook and loop latches, and each hook and loop latch having a hook tape and a loop tape of a predetermined size.

         9 . The system according to claim 8 , wherein
 the loop tape is larger than the hook tape to permit adjustment of the size of the support wrap, in a case where the loop tape is wrapped around the lower torso and the legs.

         10 . A support wrap comprising:
 an upper portion defined by a plurality of upper free ends, wherein
 the upper portion operable to at least partially enclose a lower torso in a case where the plurality of upper free ends overlap, and
 the upper portion of the support wrap further being defined by a crotch region;
   a pair of lower portions defined by a plurality of lower free ends, wherein the pair of lower portions operable to enclose a leg in a case where the plurality of lower free ends overlap; an inner lining being coplanar to the support wrap; and a plurality of fasteners placed at predetermined locations on the support wrap.

         11 . The support wrap according to claim 10 , further comprising:
 at least one auxiliary padding detachably attachable to the support wrap.

         12 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein
 the upper portion of the support wrap is defined by a crotch region, and the crotch region positioned to facilitate catherization and/or urination.

         13 . The system according to claim 12 , wherein
 the plurality of fasteners comprise a plurality of hook and loop latches, and each hook and loop latch having a hook tape and a loop tape of a predetermined size.

         14 . The system according to claim 13 , wherein
 the loop tape is larger than the hook tape to permit adjustment of the size of the support wrap, in a case where the loop tape is wrapped around the lower torso and the legs.

         15 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein
 the plurality of fasteners comprise a plurality of hook and loop latches, and each hook and loop latch having a hook tape and a loop tape of a predetermined size.

         16 . The system according to claim 15 , wherein
 the loop tape is larger than the hook tape to permit adjustment of the size of the support wrap, in a case where the loop tape is wrapped around the lower torso and the legs.

         17 . A method for donning and/or labeling a body cast to provide cushioning for a patient's body from waist to knee and access patient information, the method comprising:
 laying a body cast on a surface, wherein
 the body cast comprising a support wrap having an upper portion that aligns with the lower torso, and
 the body cast comprising the support wrap having a lower portion that aligns with the legs;
   folding a first free end of the support wrap over a second free end around the lower torso and the legs until a plurality of fasteners at the free ends align; and   fastening the fasteners to form a snug fit around the lower torso and the legs;

         18 . The method according to claim 17 , further comprising:
 applying at least one label to the outer surface of the body cast.

         19 . The method according to claim 18 , further comprising:
 marking information about the patient on the at least one label.
