Sales rotation system and sales rotation queue processes
Abstract
A sales rotation system is disclosed that increases walk-up sales. The sales rotation system creates an equitable and efficient management of sales personnel on the dealership floor. The sales rotation system corrects one or more business issues with handling of walk-up sales including sales personnel bickering over who is up next in the rotation, track lead collection and close ratios, creating an automated way to notify a sales person when the sales person is up, digitally fence an “up area” and provide a notification when sales personnel who are up wander from the showroom entry, setting up a count to be flexible based on dealership volume and size, and improving customer experience by managing the number of sales personnel on the dealership floor and equitably rotating them.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A dealership sales rotation system that provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) multi-tenant cloud computing platform for managing a sales rotation queue, said sales rotation system comprising:
a sales rotation management cloud server associated with a particular dealership in which a plurality of sales rotation queues are configured for sales representatives of the particular dealership to engage with customers in a plurality of product display and sales engagement areas, wherein each product display and sales engagement area is associated with a different sales rotation queue in the plurality of sales rotation queues; a beacon and geofence zone management database that stores zone location information for a plurality of zones associated with the plurality of product display and sales engagement areas; a sales rotation queue management cloud database that stores a plurality of ordered queue position lists of sales representatives associated with the plurality of sales rotation queues, wherein each ordered queue position list includes a set of list entries, wherein each list entry comprises a position number and a corresponding sales representative identifier; a sales rotation queue management software application that runs on the sales rotation management cloud server to manage (i) realtime shuffling of the plurality of sales rotation queues and positions of sales representatives in each of the sales rotation queues and (ii) ordering of the set of list entries in the ordered queue position list associated with each sales rotation queue in the plurality of sales rotation queues; and a sales representative user software application that runs on a mobile computing device of each sales representative listed in at least one sales rotation queue in the plurality of sales rotation queues.
2 . The dealership sales rotation system of claim 1 , wherein the beacon and geofence zone management database further stores a plurality of references to the plurality of ordered queue position lists stored in the sales rotation queue management cloud database, wherein the zone location information for each zone in the plurality of zones identifies a geographical area that is specific for the product display and sales engagement area associated with the zone.
3 . The dealership sales rotation system of claim 2 , wherein the geographical area of a particular zone in the plurality of zones is defined by a signal range of a wireless signal emitted from a beacon device that is positioned within the product display and sales engagement area associated with the particular zone.
4 . The dealership sales rotation system of claim 2 , wherein the geographical area of at least one zone in the plurality of zones is associated with an outdoor product display and sales engagement area and is defined by a geofence boundary based on geographical coordinates of the outdoor product display and sales engagement area determined by way of a global positioning system (GPS).

10 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a realtime queue shuffling program which, when executed by at least one processing unit of a computing device, rotates sales representatives in a sales rotation queue in realtime, said realtime queue shuffling program comprising sets of instructions for:
identifying a sales representative who is next up in a sales rotation queue associated with a plurality of sales representatives waiting to service customers in a product display and sales engagement area; determining whether the identified sales representative is engaged in sales activities with a customer in the product display and sales engagement area; removing the identified sales representative from the sales rotation queue when the identified sales representative is engaged in sales activities with the customer; and shuffling remaining sales representatives in the sales rotation queue in response to removing the identified sales representative from the sales rotation queue.
11 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10 , wherein the realtime queue shuffling program further comprises sets of instructions for:
setting a queue count value for the sales rotation queue that is equal to a number of sales representatives in the plurality of sales representatives waiting to service customers in the product display and sales engagement area; setting up an ordered sales rotation queue position list with a number of queue positions based on the queue count value; and associating the ordered sales rotation queue position list with the sales rotation queue, wherein each queue position of the ordered sales rotation queue position list corresponds to a position of a sales representative in the sales rotation queue, wherein a first queue position of the ordered sales rotation queue position list corresponds to a top position for a first sales representative who is up next in the sales rotation queue.
12 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first sales representative who is up next in the top position of the sales rotation queue is the identified sales representative before the identified sales representative is removed from the sales rotation queue, wherein the set of instructions for removing the identified sales representative from the sales rotation queue when the identified sales representative is engaged in sales activities with the customer comprises a set of instructions for updating the number of sales representatives remaining in the sales rotation queue after the identified sales representative is removed from the sales rotation queue.
13 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the set of instructions for shuffling remaining sales representatives in the sales rotation queue comprises sets of instructions for:
updating the number of queue positions in the ordered sales rotation queue position list to the updated number of sales representatives remaining in the sales rotation queue; and moving up each sales representative remaining in the sales rotation queue to a next higher position of the ordered sales rotation queue position list, wherein the first queue position of the ordered sales rotation queue position list corresponds to the top position in the sales rotation queue for a remaining sales representative who is different from the identified and removed sales representative.
14 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the set of instructions for shuffling remaining sales representatives in the sales rotation queue comprises sets of instructions for:
identifying the last sales representative listed in the bottom position of the ordered sales rotation queue position list, wherein the bottom position is at a numerical position of the ordered sales rotation queue position list that is equal to the updated number of queue positions in the ordered sales rotation queue position list.
15 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the realtime queue shuffling program further comprises sets of instructions for:
determining whether the updated number of queue positions is less than two; when the updated number of queue positions equals one, sending a request for another sales representative to enter the sales rotation queue; and adding a position to the ordered sales rotation queue position list when another sales representative enters the sales rotation queue, wherein said position is added to a bottom of the ordered sales rotation queue position list.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
