Abstract
The present invention concerns antigen binding proteins and fragments thereof which specifically bind Oncostatin M (OSM), particularly human OSM (hOSM) and which inhibit the binding of OSM to the gp130 receptor but does not directly interact with site II residues. The invention also concerns a method of humanising antibodies. Further disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions, screening and medical treatment methods.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of treating an inflammatory bowel disease in a subject comprising administering an effective amount of an antibody which specifically binds to human OSM (hOSM) wherein the antibody further comprises:
i) CDRH2 of SEQ ID NO. 2; ii) CDRH3 of SEQ ID NO. 3; iii) CDRL1 of SEQ ID NO. 4; and iv) CDRL3 of SEQ ID NO. 6
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody further comprises:
i) CDRH1 of SEQ ID NO. 77;
ii) CDRH2 of SEQ ID NO. 2;
iii) CDRH3 of SEQ ID NO. 3;
iv) CDRL1 of SEQ ID NO. 4;
v) CDRL2 of SEQ ID NO. 5; and
vi) CDRL3 of SEQ ID NO. 6.
3 . The method of claim 2 wherein the antibody further comprising a heavy chain variable region of SEQ ID NO: 74 and a light chain variable region of SEQ ID NO: 62.
4 . The method of claim 3 wherein the antibody further comprising a heavy chain amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 76 and a light chain amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 72.
5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody is encoded by a heavy chain variable region encoded by SEQ. ID. NO:73 and a light chain variable region encoded by SEQ. ID. NO:61
6 . The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody is a humanised antibody.
7 . The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody is IgG1.
8 . The method of claim 1 wherein the antibody is administered with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
9 . The method of claim 1 wherein the treatment is prophylaxis.
10 . The method of claim 1 wherein the inflammatory bowel disease is ulcerative colitis.
11 . The method of claim 1 wherein the inflammatory bowel disease is Crohn's disease.
12 . A method of treating chronic inflammation and/or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in an individual, the method comprising:
administering to the individual an antagonist of oncostatin-M (OSM), wherein the antagonist is an anti-OSM antibody or a polynucleic acid encoding an anti-OSM antibody.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
