Applicator ring

Abstract

A ring that may be worn on a user's finger contains nail polish reservoir and a cap with an attached applicator brush. The applicator ring allows a person to constantly have a quantity of nail polish and applicator available for convenient touch ups in a fashionable manner.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An applicator ring comprising:
 a band dimensioned to encircle a majority of a wearer's finger;   a reservoir coupled to the band, the reservoir dimensioned to contain a quantity of a cosmetic product;   a cap to sealingly close an opening to the reservoir; and   a brush extending from the cap into the reservoir, the brush adapted to apply the cosmetic product.   
     
     
         2 . The applicator ring of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a first well portion extending around an upper arc of the band.   
     
     
         3 . The applicator ring of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a second well portion extending around the upper arc of the band opposite the first well portion.   
     
     
         4 . The applicator ring of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a quantity of the cosmetic product received in the reservoir.   
     
     
         5 . The applicator ring of  claim 4 , wherein the cosmetic product is a nail polish. 
     
     
         6 . The applicator ring of  claim 4 , wherein the cosmetic product is selected from the group consisting of a lip gloss and a lip balm. 
     
     
         7 . An applicator ring comprising:
 a band dimensioned to receive a wearer's finger;   a reservoir extending from an upper arc of the band, the reservoir dimensioned to contain a quantity of a cosmetic product;   a cap to sealingly close an opening to the reservoir; and   a brush extending from the cap into the reservoir, the brush adapted to apply the cosmetic product.   
     
     
         8 . The applicator ring of  claim 7 , further comprising:
 a first well portion extending around an upper arc of the band.   
     
     
         9 . The applicator ring of  claim 8 , further comprising:
 a second well portion extending around the upper arc of the band opposite the first well portion.   
     
     
         10 . The applicator ring of  claim 7 , further comprising:
 a quantity of the cosmetic product received in the reservoir.   
     
     
         11 . The applicator ring of  claim 7 , wherein the cap comprises a decorative jewelry item. 
     
     
         12 . A method of applying a cosmetic composition, comprising:
 providing a reservoir dimensioned to contain a quantity of the cosmetic composition, the reservoir affixed to a band dimensioned to receive a wearer's finger; the reservoir having a cap to sealingly close an opening to the reservoir and a brush extending from the cap into the reservoir, the brush adapted to apply the cosmetic product.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , further comprising.
 filling the reservoir with the cosmetic composition.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , further comprising:
 removing the cap from the reservoir.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising:
 applying the cosmetic composition with the brush.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising.
 securing the cap to the reservoir.
