Nonwoven fabric

Abstract

A nonwoven fabric that is fabricated is described, which includes a non-melting fiber A having a high-temperature shrinkage rate of 3% or less and a thermal conductivity conforming to ISO22007-3 (2008) of 0.060 W/m·K or less and a thermoplastic fiber B having a LOI value conforming to JIS K 7201-2 (2007) of 25 or more and having a density of more than 50 kg/m3 and less than 200 kg/m3, where the nonwoven fabric exhibits high flame-shielding performance and has a heat insulating property.

A nonwoven fabric comprising a non-melting fiber A having a high-temperature shrinkage rate of 3% or less and a thermal conductivity conforming to 15022007-3 (2008) of 0.060 W/m·K or less and a thermoplastic fiber B having a LOI value conforming to JIS K 7201-2 (2007) of 25 or more, wherein a density of the nonwoven fabric is more than 50 kg/m 3  and less than 200 kg/m 3 . 
     
     
         2 . The nonwoven fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein a content of the non-melting fiber A is 15% to 70% by mass. 
     
     
         3 . The nonwoven fabric according to  claim 1 , comprising a fiber C other than the non-melting fiber A and the thermoplastic fiber B at 20% by mass or less. 
     
     
         4 . The nonwoven fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein the non-melting fiber A is a flame resistant fiber or a meta-aramid-based fiber.

The nonwoven fabric according to  claims 1 , wherein the thermoplastic fiber B is a fiber formed of a resin selected from the group consisting of anisotropic molten polyester, flame retardant poly(alkylene terephthalate), flame retardant poly(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), flame retardant polysulfone, poly(ether-ether-ketone), poly(ether-ketone-ketone), polyether sulfone, polyarylate, polyarylene sulfide, polyphenylsulfone, polyetherimide, polyamide-imide and any mixture of these resins. 
     
     
         6 . The nonwoven fabric according to  claim 5 , wherein the thermoplastic fiber B is a fiber containing a sulfur atom at 15% by mass or more. 
     
     
         7 . The nonwoven fabric according to  claims 1 , wherein a density of the nonwoven fabric is 70 to 160 kg/m 3 .
