Abstract
A home controlled ovarian hyperstimulation method for in vitro fertilization (IVF) or egg freezing and a home IVF kit are described herein.

17 . A method for home controlled ovarian stimulation in a female patient in preparation for in vitro fertilization (IVF) or egg freezing, the method comprising the steps of:
1) stimulating an increase in the amounts of hormones that support the growth and release of one or more mature eggs in the female patient; 2) suppressing luteinizing hormone (LH) release by the pituitary gland by either inserting vaginally in the female patient or administering orally to the female patient elagolix in a therapeutically effective amount; 3) testing whether the female patient is ovulating using an ovulation predictor kit, wherein if the testing shows the female patient is ovulating, then no further medications are administered to the female patient.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount of the elagolix is 25 to 200 mg per day.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount of the elagolix is 25 mg per day.
20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the elagolix is either inserted vaginally in the female patient or administered orally to the female patient on day 9 of the female patient's menstrual cycle.
