Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of MPO inhibitors for the treatment of multiple system atrophy. The present invention also relates to the use of MPO inhibitors for the treatment of Huntington's disease. The present invention also relates to the use of MPO inhibitors for neuroprotection.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for neuroprotection in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of 1-(2-isopropoxyethyl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,5-tetrahydro-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-one or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the effective amount of 1-(2-isopropoxyethyl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,5-tetrahydro-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-one or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is within the range of from 1 to 1000 mg.
3 . A method for treating Huntington's disease, comprising administering to a subject in need of such treatment an effective amount of 1-(2-isopropoxyethyl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,5-tetrahydro-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-one or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
4 . The method according to claim 3 , wherein the effective amount of 1-(2-isopropoxyethyl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,5-tetrahydro-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-one or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is within the range of from 1 to 1000 mg.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
