Abstract

A foundation venting device for use in a wall that is constructed with queen size bricks includes a pipe that is rectangularly shaped and is configured to be inserted by a first end into a hole that positioned in the wall. The pipe has a second end that is closed. A plurality of apertures that is positioned in the second end of the pipe is configured to vent a space behind the wall. A flange that is coupled to and extends substantially perpendicularly from a perimeter of the second end of the pipe is configured to cover a gap between the pipe and at least one of an upper course and a lower course of the queen-sized bricks that define the hole in the wall.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A foundation venting device comprising:
a pipe, the pipe being rectangularly shaped wherein the pipe is configured for inserting by a first end into a hole positioned in a wall comprising queen-sized bricks, the pipe having a second end, the second end being closed; a plurality of apertures positioned in the second end of the pipe wherein the apertures are configured for venting a space behind the wall; and a flange coupled to and extending substantially perpendicularly from a perimeter of the second end of the pipe such that the flange is configured for covering a gap between the pipe and at least one of an upper course and a lower course of the queen-sized bricks defining the hole in the wall.

2 . The device of claim 1 , further including the apertures being rectangularly shaped.

3 . The device of claim 1 , further including the flange having a top and a bottom separated by from 26.7 to 35.0 centimeters and opposing ends separated by from 42.0 to 50.0 centimeters.

4 . The device of claim 3 , further including the top and the bottom being separated by from 30.0 to 32.0 centimeters and the opposing ends being separated by from 42.5 to 46.0 centimeters.

5 . The device of claim 4 , further including the top and the bottom being separated by 30.5 centimeters and the opposing ends being separated 43.2 centimeters.

6 . The device of claim 4 , further including the top and the bottom being separated by 29.2 centimeters and the opposing ends being separated 43.2 centimeters.

7 . The device of claim 1 , further including the top and the bottom being positioned 6.4 centimeters from the perimeter of the pipe.

8 . The device of claim 1 , further including the flange having outside corners, the outside corners being arcuate.

         9 . A foundation venting device comprising:
a pipe, the pipe being rectangularly shaped wherein the pipe is configured for inserting by a first end into a hole positioned in a wall comprising queen-sized bricks, the pipe having a second end, the second end being closed; a plurality of apertures positioned in the second end of the pipe wherein the apertures are configured for venting a space behind the wall, the apertures being rectangularly shaped; and a flange coupled to and extending substantially perpendicularly from a perimeter of the second end of the pipe such that the flange is configured for covering a gap between the pipe and at least one of an upper course and a lower course of the queen-sized bricks defining the hole in the wall, the flange having a top and a bottom separated by from 26.7 to 35.0 centimeters and opposing ends separated by from 42.0 to 50.0 centimeters, the top and the bottom being separated by from 30.0 to 32.0 centimeters and the opposing ends being separated by from 42.5 to 46.0 centimeters, the top and the bottom being separated by 30.5 centimeters and the opposing ends being separated 43.2 centimeters, the top and the bottom being separated by 29.2 centimeters and the opposing ends being separated 43.2 centimeters, the top and the bottom being positioned 6.4 centimeters from the perimeter of the pipe.
