Shin Protecting Sock Assembly
Abstract
A shin protecting sock assembly includes a sock that is worn on a user's lower leg and foot during athletic activities. The sock has a pocket and a leg portion. The leg portion has a first grip section to engage the user's lower leg when the sock is worn. In this way the leg portion is inhibited from falling downwardly on the user's lower leg. The leg portion has a second grip section to engage the user's lower leg when the sock is worn. In this way the leg portion is inhibited from falling downwardly on the user's lower leg. A shield is insertable into the pocket such that the shield is positioned over the user's shin when the sock is worn. The shield is comprised of a rigid material to protect the user's shin from impact.

6 . The assembly according to claim 5 , wherein:
said sock is wearable in a first condition having said pocket being exposed on said leg portion; and said sock is wearable in a second condition having said pocket being positioned between said leg portion and the user's lower leg when said sock is worn.
7 . The assembly according to claim 5 , wherein said shield is insertable into said upper side of said pocket, said shield having a first surface, said first surface being concavely arcuate wherein said shield is configured to conform to curvature of the user's shin thereby enhancing comfort for the user.
8 . A shin protecting sock assembly being configured to be worn while playing soccer for holding a shin guard in place during game play, said assembly comprising:
a sock being worn on a user's lower leg and foot during athletic activities, said sock having a pocket being integrated therein, said sock having a foot portion and a leg portion, said foot portion including a toe, a heel and a sole extending between said toe and said heel, said leg portion having a top end being open for insertably receiving the user's foot and lower leg, said sole being comprised of an adhesive material wherein said sole is configured to engage the user's foot when said sock is worn thereby reducing slippage of the user's foot in said sock during athletic activities, said leg portion having a first grip section extending around an entire circumference of said leg portion, said first grip section being comprised of an adhesive material wherein said first grip section is configured to engage the user's lower leg when said sock is worn thereby inhibiting said leg portion from falling downwardly on the user's lower leg, said first grip section being positioned adjacent to said foot portion, said leg portion having a second grip section extending around an entire circumference of said leg portion, said second grip section being comprised of an adhesive material wherein said second grip section is configured to engage the user's lower leg when said sock is worn thereby inhibiting said leg portion from falling downwardly on the user's lower leg, said second grip section being positioned adjacent to said top end of said leg portion, said pocket being positioned between said first grip section and said second grip section, said pocket having an upper side, said upper side being open to access an interior of said pocket, said sock being wearable in a first condition having said pocket being exposed on said leg portion, said sock being wearable in a second condition having said pocket being positioned between said leg portion and the user's lower leg when said sock is worn; and a shield being insertable into said pocket wherein said shield is configured to be positioned over the user's shin when said sock is worn, said shield being comprised of a rigid material wherein said shield is configured to protect the user's shin from impact, said shield being insertable into said upper side of said pocket, said shield having a first surface, said first surface being concavely arcuate wherein said shield is configured to conform to curvature of the user's shin thereby enhancing comfort for the user.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
