Garment Shielding Device

Abstract

A garment shielding device for preventing transfer of a substance from a head of a user to an article of clothing includes a shell that defines an interior space. The shell is flexible and has a bottom that is open. The bottom is configured to insert a head of a user into the interior space so that a perimeter of the bottom is positioned below a neckline of the user when the head of the user abuts a top of the shell. The shell is configured to prevent transfer of a substance, such as makeup, from the head of the user to an article of clothing as the user selectively dons and removes the article of clothing over the head of the user.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A garment shielding device comprising a shell defining an interior space, the shell being flexible, the shell having a bottom, the bottom being open wherein the bottom is configured for inserting a head of a user into the interior space such that a perimeter of the bottom is positioned below a neckline of the user when the head of the user abuts a top of the shell wherein the shell is configured for preventing transfer of a substance from the head of the user to an article of clothing as the user selectively dons and removes the article of clothing over the head of the user. 
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , further including the shell comprising fabric. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 2 , further including the shell comprising at least one of silk, cotton, wool, linen, rayon, cellulose acetate, polyester, and nylon. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 1 , further including a slit positioned in the shell, the slit being U-shaped such that the slit defines an opening and a flap extending from the shell adjacent to an upper edge of the opening wherein the opening is configured for positioning a face of the user when the head of the user is inserted through the bottom into the interior space and wherein the flap is positioned for selectively closing the opening. 
     
     
         5 . A garment shielding device comprising:
 a shell defining an interior space, the shell being flexible, the shell having a bottom, the bottom being open wherein the bottom is configured for inserting a head of a user into the interior space such that a perimeter of the bottom is positioned below a neckline of the user when the head of the user abuts a top of the shell wherein the shell is configured for preventing transfer of a substance from the head of the user to an article of clothing as the user selectively dons and removes the article of clothing over the head of the user, the shell comprising fabric, the shell comprising at least one of silk, cotton, wool, linen, rayon, cellulose acetate, polyester, and nylon; and   a slit positioned in the shell, the slit being U-shaped such that the slit defines an opening and a flap extending from the shell adjacent to an upper edge of the opening wherein the opening is configured for positioning a face of the user when the head of the user is inserted through the bottom into the interior space and wherein the flap is positioned for selectively closing the opening.
