Abstract

A groin guard has a cushion cup and a rigid cover. The cushion cup has a concave surface, a convex surface, and a foam layer. The foam layer is a block integrally formed by a foaming material. The rigid cover is integrally combined with the convex surface of the cushion cup via an injection process. The groin guard is visually appealing and is enhanced in protection and wearing comfort.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A groin guard comprising:
 a cushion cup having
 a concave surface;
 a convex surface; and
a foam layer being a block integrally formed by a foaming material and having two sides formed respectively as the concave surface and the convex surface of the cushion cup; and
a rigid cover integrally combined with the convex surface of the cushion cup via an injection process, wherein a hardness of the rigid cover is higher than a hardness of the cushion cup.

2 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the cushion cup has a fabric layer covering one of the two sides of the foam layer.

3 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the cushion cup has a fabric layer covering both of the two sides of the foam layer.

4 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.

5 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 2 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.

6 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.

7 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the cushion cup has multiple embossed blocks formed on the convex surface of the cushion cup and arranged at spaced intervals.

8 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the cushion cup has multiple embossed blocks formed on the convex surface of the cushion cup and arranged at spaced intervals.

9 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the cushion cup has multiple embossed blocks formed on the convex surface of the cushion cup and arranged at spaced intervals.

10 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the fabric layer of the cushion cup has patterns.

11 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the fabric layer of the cushion cup has patterns.

12 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 10 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.

13 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 11 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.

14 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the cushion cup has multiple embossed blocks formed on the convex surface of the cushion cup and arranged at spaced intervals.

15 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the cushion cup has multiple embossed blocks formed on the convex surface of the cushion cup and arranged at spaced intervals.

16 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 14 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.

17 . The groin guard as claimed in claim 15 , wherein a surface area of the rigid cover is less than a surface area of the convex surface of the cushion cup.
