Claims

Abstract

An apparatus converts a pair of poles into a weapon mount by mounting one pole to another pole in order to form an X-shaped configuration with the poles. The X-shaped configuration, formed by the poles, provides a pivot point on which a barrel of a firearm can be supported. The apparatus includes a first brace, a second brace, and a brace-attachment mechanism. The first brace allows the apparatus to attach onto one pole, and the second brace allows the apparatus to attach onto the other pole. The brace-attachment mechanism allows the first brace to be selectively attached to the second brace and, therefore, one pole can be mounted to the other pole in order to form an X-shaped configuration that provides the pivot point on which the barrel of a firearm can be supported.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount comprises:
 a first brace;   a second brace;   a brace-attachment mechanism;   the first brace and the second brace each comprise a brace body and a pole-attachment mechanism;   the brace body comprises a face;   the pole-attachment mechanism being integrated into the brace body, opposite the face;   the face of the first brace and the face of the second brace being positioned coincident to each other; and   the brace body of the first brace and the brace body of the second brace being rotatably coupled to each other by the brace-attachment mechanism.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 1  comprises:
 the brace-attachment mechanism comprises an elongated member, a stump, a disk-shaped cavity, and an entrance slot; 
 the elongated member being positioned parallel and offset from the face of the first brace; 
 the stump being centrally connected in between the elongated member and the face of the first brace; 
 the disk-shaped cavity being integrated within the brace body of the second brace; 
 the disk-shaped cavity being positioned parallel and offset from the face of the second brace; and 
 the entrance slot traversing from the face of the second brace, into the brace body of the second brace, and into the disk-shaped cavity. 
 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 2  comprises:
 the disk-shaped cavity comprises a lateral wall; 
 the elongated member comprises a first convex-shaped end and a second convex-shaped end; 
 the first convex-shaped end and the second convex-shaped end being slidably pressed against the lateral wall; and 
 the first convex-shaped end and the second convex-shaped end being circumscribed by the lateral wall. 
 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 2  comprises:
 wherein the first brace and the second brace are in an engaged configuration; 
 the elongated member being compressed within the disk-shaped cavity; 
 the stump being positioned within the entrance slot; and 
 the elongated member being oriented at an angle with the entrance slot. 
 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 2  comprises:
 wherein the first brace and the second brace are in a disengaging configuration; 
 the elongated member being positioned within the disk-shaped cavity; 
 the stump being positioned within the entrance slot; and 
 the elongated member being positioned parallel to the entrance slot. 
 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 1  comprises:
 the pole-attachment mechanism comprises at least one pole strap and a pole-receiving recess; 
 the at least one pole strap comprises a first strap end and a second strap end; 
 the pole-receiving recess traversing into the brace body, opposite to the face; 
 the first strap end and the second strap end being connected onto the brace body, opposite to the face; and 
 the pole-receiving recess being positioned in between the first strap end and the second strap end. 
 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 6  comprises:
 the at least one pole strap being a plurality of pole straps; and 
 the plurality of pole straps being distributed along the pole-receiving recess. 
 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the brace body is a hemispherical shape. 
     
     
         9 . An apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount comprises:
 a first brace;   a second brace;   a brace-attachment mechanism;   the first brace and the second brace each comprise a brace body and a pole-attachment mechanism;   the brace body comprises a face;   the brace-attachment mechanism comprises an elongated member, a stump, a disk-shaped cavity, and an entrance slot;   the pole-attachment mechanism being integrated into the brace body, opposite the face;   the face of the first brace and the face of the second brace being positioned coincident to each other;   the brace body of the first brace and the brace body of the second brace being rotatably coupled to each other by the brace-attachment mechanism;   the elongated member being positioned parallel and offset from the face of the first brace;   the stump being centrally connected in between the elongated member and the face of the first brace;   the disk-shaped cavity being integrated within the brace body of the second brace;   the disk-shaped cavity being positioned parallel and offset from the face of the second brace; and   the entrance slot traversing from the face of the second brace, into the brace body of the second brace, and into the disk-shaped cavity.   
     
     
         10 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 9  comprises:
 the disk-shaped cavity comprises a lateral wall; 
 the elongated member comprises a first convex-shaped end and a second convex-shaped end; 
 the first convex-shaped end and the second convex-shaped end being slidably pressed against the lateral wall; and 
 the first convex-shaped end and the second convex-shaped end being circumscribed by the lateral wall. 
 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 9  comprises:
 wherein the first brace and the second brace are in an engaged configuration; 
 the elongated member being compressed within the disk-shaped cavity; 
 the stump being positioned within the entrance slot; and

         13 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 9  comprises:
 the pole-attachment mechanism comprises at least one pole strap and a pole-receiving recess; 
 the at least one pole strap comprises a first strap end and a second strap end; 
 the pole-receiving recess traversing into the brace body, opposite to the face; 
 the first strap end and the second strap end being connected onto the brace body, opposite to the face; and 
 the pole-receiving recess being positioned in between the first strap end and the second strap end. 
 
     
     
         14 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 13  comprises:
 the at least one pole strap being a plurality of pole straps; and 
 the plurality of pole straps being distributed along the pole-receiving recess. 
 
     
     
         15 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 9 , wherein the brace body is a hemispherical shape. 
     
     
         16 . An apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount comprises:
 a first brace;   a second brace;   a brace-attachment mechanism;   the first brace and the second brace each comprise a brace body and a pole-attachment mechanism;   the brace body comprises a face;   the brace-attachment mechanism comprises an elongated member, a stump, a disk-shaped cavity, and an entrance slot;   the pole-attachment mechanism comprises at least one pole strap and a pole-receiving recess;   the pole-attachment mechanism being integrated into the brace body, opposite the face;   the face of the first brace and the face of the second brace being positioned coincident to each other;   the brace body of the first brace and the brace body of the second brace being rotatably coupled to each other by the brace-attachment mechanism;   the elongated member being positioned parallel and offset from the face of the first brace;   the stump being centrally connected in between the elongated member and the face of the first brace;   the disk-shaped cavity being integrated within the brace body of the second brace;   the disk-shaped cavity being positioned parallel and offset from the face of the second brace;   the entrance slot traversing from the face of the second brace, into the brace body of the second brace, and into the disk-shaped cavity;   the at least one pole strap comprises a first strap end and a second strap end;   the pole-receiving recess traversing into the brace body, opposite to the face;   the first strap end and the second strap end being connected onto the brace body, opposite to the face;   the pole-receiving recess being positioned in between the first strap end and the second strap end; and   the brace body is a hemispherical shape.   
     
     
         17 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 16  comprises:
 the disk-shaped cavity comprises a lateral wall; 
 the elongated member comprises a first convex-shaped end and a second convex-shaped end; 
 the first convex-shaped end and the second convex-shaped end being slidably pressed against the lateral wall; and 
 the first convex-shaped end and the second convex-shaped end being circumscribed by the lateral wall. 
 
     
     
         18 . The apparatus for converting a pair of poles into a weapon mount as claimed in  claim 16  comprises:
 wherein the first brace and the second brace are in an engaged configuration; 
 the elongated member being compressed within the disk-shaped cavity; 
 the stump being positioned within the entrance slot; and 
 the elongated member being oriented at an angle with the entrance slot.
