Abstract
A dedicated network handover method, a dedicated network type notification method, and a device, so as to ensure that user equipment (UE) is handed over to a dedicated core network (CN) network element of a corresponding CN type in a handover process, are presented. The CN network element device mainly includes a receiver configured to receive CN type information of UE sent by a first dedicated CN network element; a processor configured to determine, according to the CN type information, identifier information of a second dedicated CN network element that supports a CN type indicated by the CN type information; and the processor configured to hand over, according to the identifier information, the UE to the second dedicated CN network element corresponding to the identifier information.

1 . A network handover method, comprising:
sending, by a first dedicated core network (CN) network element, CN type information, wherein the first dedicated CN network element is a dedicated CN network element that provides a service for a source cell in which a user equipment (UE) is located; receiving, by a core network (CN) network element, the CN type information from the first dedicated CN network element; determining, by the CN network element according to the CN type information, whether the CN network element itself supports a CN type indicated by the CN type information; if it is determined the CN network element supports the CN type, the CN network element provides a service for a target cell in which the UE is located after a handover is completed; and handing over, by the CN network element, the UE to the second dedicated CN network element corresponding to the identifier information.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the method further comprising:
if it is determined the CN network element doesn't support the CN type, determining, by the CN network element according to the CN type information, a second dedicated CN network element that supports the CN type indicated by the CN type information.
3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the method further comprising:
acquiring, by the CN network element, identifier information of a third dedicated CN network element that supports the CN type indicated by the CN type information responsive to determining, by the CN network element according to the CN type information, the second dedicated CN network element that supports the CN type indicated by the CN type information.
4 . A communications system for network handover, comprising:
a first dedicated core network (CN) network element, configured to a first dedicated core network (CN) network element, CN type information, wherein the first dedicated CN network element is a dedicated CN network element that provides a service for a source cell in which a user equipment (UE) is located; and a core network (CN) network element, configured to: receive the CN type information from the first dedicated CN network element; determine, according to the CN type information, whether the CN network element itself supports a CN type indicated by the CN type information; provide a service for a target cell in which the UE is located after a handover is completed if it is determined the CN network element supports the CN type; and hand over the UE to the second dedicated CN network element corresponding to the identifier information.

The system according to claim 4 , wherein the CN network element, further configured to: if it is determined the CN network element doesn't support the CN type, determine, according to the CN type information, a second dedicated CN network element that supports the CN type indicated by the CN type information.
6 . The system according to claim 5 , wherein the CN network element, further configured to acquire identifier information of a third dedicated CN network element that supports the CN type indicated by the CN type information responsive to determining, according to the CN type information, the second dedicated CN network element that supports the CN type indicated by the CN type information.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
