Abstract

A HVAC vent screen assembly for inhibiting insects from passing through an HVAC vent includes a screen that is positionable over an HVAC vent in a building. In this way the screen inhibits insects from entering or exiting the HVAC vent. The screen is comprised of a fluid permeable material to pass air therethrough. A plurality of magnets is provided and each of the magnets is coupled to the screen. Each of the magnets magnetically engages the HVAC vent for retaining the screen over the HVAC vent.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . An HVAC vent screen assembly being configured to inhibit insects from passing through an HVAC vent, said assembly comprising:
a screen being positionable over an HVAC vent in a building wherein said screen is configured to inhibit insects from entering or exiting the HVAC vent, said screen being comprised of a fluid permeable material wherein said screen is configured to pass air therethrough; and a plurality of magnets, each of said magnets being coupled to said screen, each of said magnets magnetically engaging the HVAC vent for retaining said screen over the HVAC vent.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a first end and a second end, each of said magnets being elongated between said first and second ends, each of said first and second ends of each of said magnets being rounded such that each of said magnets has an ovoid shape.

3 . An HVAC vent screen assembly being configured to inhibit insects from passing through an HVAC vent, said assembly comprising:
a screen being positionable over an HVAC vent in a building wherein said screen is configured to inhibit insects from entering or exiting the HVAC vent, said screen being comprised of a fluid permeable material wherein said screen is configured to pass air therethrough, said screen having a back side and a perimeter edge; and a plurality of magnets, each of said magnets being coupled to said screen, each of said magnets magnetically engaging the HVAC vent for retaining said screen over the HVAC vent, each of said magnets having a front surface and a back surface.

4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said front surface of each of said magnets is bonded to said back side of said screen wherein said back surface of each of said magnets is configured to magnetically engage the HVAC vent, each of said magnets being positioned adjacent to said perimeter edge of said screen, said magnets being spaced apart from each other and being distributed around said perimeter edge.

5 . An HVAC vent screen assembly being configured to inhibit insects from passing through an HVAC vent, said assembly comprising:
a screen being positionable over an HVAC vent in a building wherein said screen is configured to inhibit insects from entering or exiting the HVAC vent, said screen being comprised of a fluid permeable material wherein said screen is configured to pass air therethrough, said screen having a back side and a perimeter edge; and a plurality of magnets, each of said magnets being coupled to said screen, each of said magnets magnetically engaging the HVAC vent for retaining said screen over the HVAC vent, each of said magnets having a front surface, a back surface, a first end and a second end, each of said magnets being elongated between said first and second ends, each of said first and second ends of each of said magnets being rounded such that each of said magnets has an ovoid shape, said front surface of each of said magnets being bonded to said back side of said screen wherein said back surface of each of said magnets is configured to magnetically engage the HVAC vent, each of said magnets being positioned adjacent to said perimeter edge of said screen, said magnets being spaced apart from each other and being distributed around said perimeter edge.
