Abstract

An image capture device is mounted in a vehicle. The image capture device includes: an image capture unit; and a setting unit that sets an image capture condition for each region of the image capture unit each having a plurality of pixels, or for each pixel, based upon at least one of a state exterior to the vehicle and a state of the vehicle.

1 . An image capture device that is mounted to a vehicle, comprising:
 an image capture unit;   an input unit to which information is input from an exterior; and   an imaging control unit that controls the image capture unit, wherein:   the imaging control unit changes an imaging condition for the image capture unit based on the information that has been input to the input unit.   
     
     
         2 . The image capture device according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the information is input to the input unit from a navigation device; and   the imaging control unit changes the imaging condition for the image capture unit based on the information that has been input to the input unit.   
     
     
         3 . The image capture device according to  claim 2 , wherein:
 the information from the navigation device is a command related to change of a vehicle lane by the vehicle.   
     
     
         4 . The image capture device according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the information is input to the input unit from a traffic light; and   the imaging control unit changes the imaging condition for the image capture unit based on the information that has been input to the input unit.   
     
     
         5 . The image capture device according to  claim 4 , wherein:
 the information from the traffic light is information related to movement of a mobile object other than the vehicle.   
     
     
         6 . The image capture device according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the information is input to the input unit from another vehicle in the vicinity; and   the imaging control unit changes the imaging condition for the image capture unit based on the information that has been input to the input unit.   
     
     
         7 . The image capture device according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the imaging control unit changes a frame rate of the image capture unit based on the information that has been input to the input unit.   
     
     
         8 . The image capture device according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the imaging control unit changes a pixel decimation ratio of the image capture unit based on the information that has been input to the input unit.
