Lighting device
Abstract
Lighting device for emission of light through a windshield of a vehicle consisting of at least one lighting unit intended to be temporarily mounted on the inside of a windshield with at least one fastening device. The lighting unit consists of at least one reflector, one lamp and at least one seal between the lighting unit and the windshield. The lighting unit is powered by electric energy and the lamp's on and off switch is controlled by at least one sensor designed to detect turned on high-beams which wirelessly sends control signals to the lighting unit. The lighting device consists of a function with which the light's illumination can be adjusted and with which the light can be completely or partially blocked.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A lighting device for a vehicle, the lighting device comprising a main body with an open front side, a mounting element, one or more lighting units disposed within the main body and constructed to emit light in the direction of the open front side, and one or more controls for adjusting illumination, wherein
the lighting device is constructed to be mounted in a mounted position on the inside of a windshield using the mounting element so that in the mounted position the open front side faces the windshield; each lighting unit comprises a reflector and a lamp; and the one or more controls are adapted to wirelessly receive a signal and to control the illumination from the lighting device based on the signal.
2 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the signal comprises information about the headlights of the vehicle.
3 . The lighting device of claim 2 , wherein the signal comprises information about whether high beams are switched on or off.
4 . The lighting device of claim 3 , wherein the one or more controls are constructed to increase illumination from the lighting device when the high beams are switched on.
5 . The lighting device of claim 3 , wherein the one or more controls are constructed to decrease illumination from the lighting device when the high beams are switched off.
6 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the signal comprises information about other lights outside of the vehicle.
7 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the lighting device further comprises a seal circumferentially surrounding at least a portion of the open front side, and wherein when the lighting device is in a mounted position, the seal is positioned between the main body and the windshield.
8 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more controls can be used to control the direction of the illumination.
9 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the lighting device comprises an adjusting mechanism capable of alternating the illumination and/or the direction of the illumination.
10 . The lighting device of claim 9 , wherein the adjusting mechanism comprises an electric motor.
11 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more controls can be used to operate a shutter.
12 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the lighting device can be temporarily mounted on the windshield.
13 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the mounting element comprises one or more suction cups.
14 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the lamp comprises a Xenon lamp or an LED.
15 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the lighting device comprises a power source.
16 . The lighting device of claim 15 , wherein the power source comprises a battery.
17 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the lighting device comprises a sensor capable of detecting an on-off status of the high beams and sending a signal regarding the on-off status wirelessly to the one or more controls.
18 . The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the signal is transmitted via radio waves or infrared waves.
19 . A vehicle comprising a lighting device, the vehicle comprising a windshield with an inside surface and an outside surface, wherein
the lighting device is removably mounted on the inside surface of the windshield using a mounting element; and the lighting device comprises a main body with an open front side facing the windshield, one or more lighting units comprising a reflector and a lamp, the one or more lighting units disposed within the main body and constructed to emit light in the direction of the open front side, and one or more controls for adjusting illumination, wherein the one or more controls are adapted to wirelessly receive a signal and to control the illumination from the lighting device based on the signal.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
