Quinoline-based proteasome inhibitors and uses thereof

Abstract

Described herein are quinoline compounds useful for, among other things, inhibition of the proteasome and for treatment of cancer and inflammation.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . A compound of the formula II: 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein: 
         R 6  is hydrogen, alkyl or aryl; 
         R 7  is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, cycloheteroalkyl or alkoxy; 
         R 8  is hydrogen, halogen, or alkyl; 
         R 9  is hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, alkyl, alkoxy, aminoalkyl or heterocyclyl; and 
         R 10  is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, or lower alkoxy.
