Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for managing a premises. An example system may comprise a gateway device located at a premise and in communication with a plurality of premise devices. A user interface may be output to a user. The user interface may represent at least one floor of the premise. A premise device of the plurality of premise devices may be represented as located on a floor of the premises.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
causing output, by a server located external to a premises, on a first computing device and based on data associated with the premises, of a user interface comprising:
a floor plan indicating at least a portion of the premises, and
a device icon indicating a state of at least one premises device located at the premises;
receiving, by the server and from the first computing device, data indicative of a modification to the user interface; and causing output, by the server, on a second computing device and based on at least a portion of the data indicative of the modification to the user interface, of the user interface.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first computing device comprises at least one of a client device located at the premises, a client device located external to the premises, or a touchscreen device located at the premises.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second computing device comprises at least one of a client device located at the premises, a client device located external to the premises, or a touchscreen device located at the premises.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data indicative of the modification to the user interface is received via the user interface caused to be output on the first computing device.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the causing output of the user interface on the first computing device comprises causing output, via a web portal of the server, of the user interface on the first computing device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data associated with the premises comprises settings data associated with the user interface.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the modification to the user interface comprises a modification associated with the device icon.
8 . A system comprising:
a plurality of premises devices located at a premises; a server located external to the premises and configured to communicate with the plurality of premises devices; and a first computing device configured to:
receive state data that indicates a state of at least one premises device of the plurality of premises devices;
cause output, based on the state data and data associated with the premises, a user interface, wherein the data associated with the premises is received from the server and the user interface comprises:
a floor plan indicating at least a floor of the premises, and
a device icon indicating the state of the at least one premises device;
receive user input modifying the user interface; and
send, to the server, data indicative of the modification to the user interface,
wherein the server is configured to cause output, on a second computing device and based on the data indicative of the modification to the user interface, of the user interface.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the first computing device comprises at least one of a client device located at the premises, a client device located external to the premises, or a touchscreen device located at the premises.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the second computing device comprises at least one of a client device located at the premises, a client device located external to the premises, or a touchscreen device located at the premises.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the user input modifying the user interface is received via the user interface.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the server is configured to cause output of the user interface via a web portal.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the data associated with the premises comprises settings data associated with the user interface.
14 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a server located external to a premises and from a plurality of premises devices, state data indicating a state of at least one premises device of the plurality of premises devices; receiving, by the server and from a first computing device, data indicating a modification to a user interface, wherein the user interface comprises:
a floor plan indicating at least a floor of the premises, and
a device icon indicating the state of the at least one premises device; and
causing output, by the server, on a second computing device and based on the data indicating the modification to a user interface and the state data, of the user interface.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the first computing device comprises at least one of a client device located at the premises, a client device located external to the premises, or a touchscreen device located at the premises.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the second computing device comprises at least one of a client device located at the premises, a client device located external to the premises, or a touchscreen device located at the premises.
17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the data indicating the modification to the user interface comprises settings data associated with the user interface.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the data indicating the modification to the user interface is based on user input to the first computing device.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the user input is received via the user interface caused to be output on the first computing device.
20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the server is configured to cause output of the user interface via a web portal.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
