Convertible Bathing System

Abstract

A convertible bathing system (1) adapted to be used with a toilet (100), the convertible bathing system (1) including: a) a bathing plate (2) with a drain hole (4) and a handle (6); and b) a folding frame (10) with one or more fixed legs (12) connected to one or more folding legs (14) by one or more crossmembers (24) connected to the bathing plate (2). The convertible bathing system (1) has a vertical storage position and a horizontal bathing position (52). In the vertical storage position the bathing plate (2) is folded above a tank (101) of the toilet (100) out of the way of the toilet (100). In the horizontal bathing position (52), the bathing plate (2) is disposed over a waste opening (102) of the toilet (100), aligning the drain hole (4) with the waste opening (102). When the one or more crossmembers (24) are in the vertical position, the one or more folding legs (14) fold into a parallel relationship with the one or more crossmembers (24). In the horizontal position (52), the one or more folding legs (14) are folded down into a perpendicular relationship with the one or more crossmembers (24).

1 . A convertible bathing system adapted to be used with a toilet, the convertible bathing system including:
 a) a bathing plate with a drain hole and a handle; and   b) a folding frame with one or more fixed legs connected to one or more folding legs by one or more crossmembers connected to the bathing plate;   wherein the convertible bathing system has a vertical storage position and a horizontal bathing position, in the vertical storage position the bathing plate is folded above a tank of the toilet out of the way of the toilet, and in the horizontal bathing position the bathing plate is disposed over a waste opening of the toilet, aligning the drain hole with the waste opening;   wherein the vertical position, the one or more folding legs are folded into a parallel relationship with the one or more crossmembers, and in the horizontal position, the one or more folding legs are folded down into a perpendicular relationship with the one or more crossmembers.   
     
     
         2 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more crossmembers include a track connected to the bathing plate, allowing the bathing plate to slide between an extended position, which allows the bathing plate to clear the toilet tank when in the storage position, and a retracted position, aligning the drain hole with the waste opening of the toilet when the bathing plate is in the bathing position. 
     
     
         3 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 1  further includes a locking mechanism that secures the convertible bathing system in the vertical position and in the horizontal position. 
     
     
         4 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 1 , wherein the bathing plate further includes guard rails that fold flat when the convertible bathing system is in the vertical storage position and are extended in the horizontal bathing position to prevent a user from falling off of the bathing plate. Furthermore, the convertible bathing system of  claim 1 , where in the bathing plate further include guard rail that been fixed on the side wall from inside to outside or vice versa in the vertical storage position to prevent a user from falling of the bathing plate. 
     
     
         5 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 1 , wherein the conversion from the vertical storage position to the horizontal bathing position performed by a user. 
     
     
         6 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 1 , wherein the conversion from the vertical storage position to the horizontal bathing position is performed by an electric motor. 
     
     
         7 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 4 , wherein the convertible bathing system further includes a foldable arm with a shower head. 
     
     
         8 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 7 , wherein the shower head is connected to a water supply. 
     
     
         9 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 8 , wherein the water supply is a sink. 
     
     
         10 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 8 , wherein the water supply is a hot water pipe and a cold water pipe for the convertible shower system. 
     
     
         11 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 7 , wherein the convertible bathing system includes a foldable u-shaped rod for use with a shower curtain, the u-shaped rod being mounted on a same plane as the foldable arm. 
     
     
         12 . A bathing system for use with a toilet comprising:
 a) a bathing plate with a drain hole attached to a foldable frame;   b) a foldable frame; and   c) a foldable arm with a shower head;   wherein the foldable bathing system is convertible between a storage position and a bathing position; in the storage position, the bathing plate is folded above a tank of the toilet and, in the bathing position, the bathing plate is disposed over a waste opening of the toilet, aligning the drain hole with the waste opening;   wherein the foldable arm is mounted above the toilet such that in the storage position, the foldable arm is folded down towards the toilet and in the bathing position, the foldable arm is folded outwards so that the arm is parallel to the bathing plate.   
     
     
         13 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 12 , wherein the bathing system further includes a ladder. 
     
     
         14 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 13 , wherein the ladder is moveably mounted to the bathing plate such that the ladder may fold into a generally parallel relationship with the bathing plate in the storage position, and a generally perpendicular relationship with the bathing plate in the bathing position. 
     
     
         15 . The convertible bathing system of  claim 13 , wherein the ladder is integrated into the one or more folding legs.
