Abstract
A wall siding system for siding a wall surface comprises a plurality of supports and a plurality of modules. The supports are mounted to the wall surface. The modules are mounted to the supports and arranged in a column thereby covering the wall surface. Each module defines top and bottom ends, outer and inner surfaces and opposite lateral sides.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A wall siding system for siding a wall surface, the system comprising:
a plurality of supports for being mounted to the wall surface; a plurality of modules for being mounted to the supports and arranged in a column thereby covering the wall surface, each module defining top and bottom ends, outer and inner surfaces and opposite lateral sides, wherein the inner face interfaces with the wall surface.
2 . A wall siding system according to claim 1 , wherein the modules comprise horizontally elongated panels.
3 . A wall siding system according to claim 1 , wherein the bottom end of a given upper module of the column engages the top end of the next lower module of the column.
4 . A wall siding system according to claim 3 , wherein the top end of the module is fastened to the wall surface.
5 . A wall siding system according to claim 3 , wherein the top end defines a top end inner face for engaging the wall surface, and a top end outer face that is engaged by the bottom end of the next upper module of the column, the top end inner face comprising a spacer for providing a space with the wall surface and the top end inner face.
6 . A wall siding system according to claim 5 , wherein the top end of the panel comprises a rearward extension defining the top end inner face.
7 . A wall siding system according to claim 5 , wherein the bottom end comprises a rearward extension defining a bottom end inner face from engaging the top end outer face.
8 . A wall siding system according to claim 1 , wherein the inner face of the module is spaced apart from the wall surface when the module is mounted thereto thereby providing a channel therebetween.
9 . A wall siding system according to claim 1 , wherein the inner face comprises an inner mounting element for being mounted to the support.
10 . A wall siding system according to claim 9 , wherein at least one of the inner mounting element and the support comprise deformable and resilient material.
11 . A wall siding system according to claim 9 , wherein the support member comprises an upwardly extending configuration and inner mounting element comprises a downwardly extending configuration.
12 . A wall siding system according to claim 11 , wherein the support comprises a wall mounting portion for being mounted to the wall, a proximal portion upwardly and diagonally extending from the wall mounting portion, a median portion and vertically extending from the proximal portion and a distal portion upwardly and diagonally extending from the median portion.
13 . A wall siding system according to claim 11 , wherein the inner mounting element comprises a module mounting portion, a proximal portion downwardly and downwardly extending from the module mounting portion, a median portion downwardly and vertically extending from the proximal portion and a distal portion diagonally and downwardly extending from the median portion.
14 . A wall siding system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
at least one corner connector for being mounted to a corner formed by a pair of the modules being adjacently arranged about a corner of the wall, the pair of modules having respective ones of the lateral sides thereof interfacing, wherein the corner connector is mountable to the interfacing respective ones of the lateral sides.
15 . A wall siding system according to claim 14 , wherein the corner connector defines outer and inner sides, the inner side being mountable to the interfacing respective ones of the lateral sides.
16 . A wall siding comprising the wall siding system of claim 1 .
17 - 30 : (canceled)
31 . A wall module for a wall siding system, the module comprising:
top and bottom ends, outer and inner surfaces and opposite lateral sides, wherein the inner face interfaces with the wall surface and is spaced therefrom and comprises a mounting element to be mounted to a support mounted on the wall surface, the wall module being fastenable to the wall surface, wherein a plurality of like modules arranged in a column on the wall surface provides for covering the wall surface.
32 . A wall module according to claim 31 , wherein the modules comprise horizontally elongated panels.
33 . A wall module according to claim 31 , wherein the bottom end of a given upper module of the column engages the top end of the next lower module of the column.
34 : (canceled)
35 . A wall module according to claim 33 , wherein the top end defines a top end inner face for engaging the wall surface, and a top end outer face that is engaged by the bottom end of the next upper module of the column, the top end inner face comprising a spacer for providing a space with the wall surface and the top end inner face.
