Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic, in particular photoprotective, composition, comprising at least: —one or more hydroxyethyl acrylate polymers, —one or more UV-screening agents, and —one or more copolymers of acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid and of one or more nonionic monomers.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Composition comprising at least:
a) one or more polymers comprising monomer units of formulae (A) and (B):
in which:
R1, independently at each instance, is chosen from alkyl and alkylene radicals, and
at least 60% by weight of the groups R1 are behenyl radicals, the weight percentage relating to the sum of all the groups R1 present in the polymer,
and
the weight ratio of the sum of all the hydroxyethyl acrylate units to the sum of all the acrylate units bearing the group R1 ranges from 1:30 to 1:1;
and the sum of the total of units A and B is at least 95% by weight relative to the total weight of the polymer,
the polymer having a number-average molecular weight Mn ranging from 2000 to 9000 g/mol,
b) one or more UV-screening agents, and
c) one or more copolymers of acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid and of one or more nonionic monomers.
2 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which, in polymer a), R1 is constituted of an alkyl radical.
3 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which, in polymer a), at least 70% by weight of the groups R1 are behenyl radicals.
4 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which, in polymer a), all the groups R1 are behenyl radicals.
5 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which, in polymer a), said weight ratio of the sum of all the hydroxyethyl acrylate units to the sum of all the acrylate units bearing the group R1 ranges from 1:15 to 1:1.
6 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which polymer a) has a number-average molecular weight Mn ranging from 5000 to 9000 g/mol.
7 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which the lipophilic polymer has a melting point ranging from 60° C. to 69° C.
8 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which the content of polymer a) is from 0.01% to 10% by weight, relative to the total weight of said composition.
9 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which the UV-screening agent(s) are chosen from soluble or insoluble organic UV-screening agents, mineral UV-screening agents, and mixtures thereof.
10 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which the content of UV-screening agents is from 0.01% to 60% by weight, relative to the total weight of said composition.
11 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which said copolymers c) comprise one or more nonionic monomers chosen from water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomers, hydrophobic monomers, or mixtures thereof.
12 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which said copolymers c) comprise one or more nonionic monomers chosen from the following nonionic water-soluble monomers:
(meth)acrylamide, N-vinylacetamide and N-methyl-N-vinylacetamide, N-vinylformamide and N-methyl-N-vinylformamide, maleic anhydride, vinylamine, N-vinyllactams including a cyclic alkyl group containing from 4 to 9 carbon atoms, such as N-vinylpyrrolidone, N-butyrolactam and N-vinylcaprolactam, vinyl alcohol of formula CH 2 ═CHOH, water-soluble vinyl monomers of formula (B) below:
in which:
R 15 is chosen from H, —CH 3 , —C 2 H 5 and —C 3 H 7 ;
X 2 is chosen from:
alkyl oxides of the type —OR 16 in which R 16 is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based radical containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, optionally substituted with a halogen (iodine, bromine, chlorine or fluorine) atom; a hydroxyl (—OH) group; ether.
13 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which said copolymers c) comprise one or more nonionic monomers chosen from the following nonionic hydrophobic monomers:
styrene and derivatives thereof, such as 4-butylstyrene, o-methylstyrene and vinyltoluene; vinyl acetate of formula CH 2 ═CH—OCOCH 3 ; vinyl ethers of formula CH 2 ═CHOR in which R is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based radical containing from 1 to 20; acrylonitrile, caprolactone; vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride; the hydrophobic vinyl monomers of formula (C) below:
in which:
R 23 is chosen from H, —CH 3 , —C 2 H 5 and —C 3 H 7 ,
X 3 is chosen from:
alkyl oxides of the type —OR 24 where R 24 is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based radical containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
the vinyl monomers of formula (D) below:
in which R 1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched C 1 -C 6 alkyl radical; Y denotes O or NH; R 2 denotes a hydrophobic hydrocarbon-based radical comprising from 8 to 50 carbon atoms; x denotes a number ranging from 0 to 100.
14 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which said copolymers c) are chosen from:
copolymers of ammonium acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate and of vinylpyrrolidone, AMPS/cetearyl methacrylate copolymers ethoxylated with 25 mol of ethylene oxide.
15 . The composition according to claim 1 , in which said copolymers c) are present in the composition according to the invention in an amount ranging from 0.1% to 10% relative to the total weight of the composition.
16 . The composition n according to claim 1 which also comprises one or more photosensitive active agents.
17 . The composition according to claim 16 , in which the photosensitive active agent(s) are chosen from:
vitamins and derivatives thereof, retinoic acid and derivatives thereof, and n-(C4-C16)acyl-5-salicylic acids, polyphenols of natural or synthetic origin, derivatives thereof, and plant extracts comprising same, and mixtures thereof.
18 . The composition according to claim 17 , in which said photosensitive active agents are chosen from resveratrol, retinol, baicalin and vitamin C, and mixtures thereof.
19 . The composition according to claim 17 , in which the photosensitive active agent(s) are present in a concentration ranging from 0.001% to 15% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.
20 . A non-therapeutic process for the photoprotection of keratin materials with respect to solar UV radiation, comprising a step of applying a composition according to claim 1 to said keratin materials.
21 . A non-therapeutic cosmetic process for limiting the darkening of the skin and/or improving the colour and/or uniformity of the complexion, comprising a step of applying a composition according to claim 1 to the skin.
