Multifunction giftbox book

Abstract

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for a multifunction giftbox book are presented. An inner box layer is sized to fit within an outer box layer. An inner box layer includes one or more depictions on an outer surface of the inner box layer. One or more openings in an outer box layer have positions in the outer box layer corresponding to positions of one or more depictions on an outer surface of an inner box layer so that the one or more depictions are at least selectively visible through the one or more openings.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus comprising:
 an outer box layer;   an inner box layer sized to fit within the outer box layer, the inner box layer comprising one or more depictions on an outer surface of the inner box layer; and   one or more openings in the outer box layer, the one or more openings having positions in the outer box layer corresponding to positions of the one or more depictions on the outer surface of the inner box layer such that the one or more depictions are at least selectively visible through the one or more openings.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising one or more flaps corresponding to the one or more openings in the outer box layer, the one or more flaps selectively movable away from the outer box layer such that the one or more depictions are selectively visible through the one or more openings. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , further comprising one or more pop-up elements extending between the one or more flaps and the one or more depictions, the one or more pop-up elements actuated by movement of the one or more flaps away from the one or more depictions. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the one or more depictions comprise a sensory touch element with a different texture than another portion of the inner box layer. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , further comprising one or more audio elements configured to audibly broadcast a predefined sound in response to the one or more flaps being lifted away from the inner box layer. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , further comprising one or more of magnets and stickers configured to removably adhere to one or more of the one or more flaps and the one or more depictions. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a lid for at least one of the outer box layer and the inner box layer, the lid selectively closable to conceal contents of the inner box layer. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 7 , further comprising an opening in the lid sized to receive cards in envelopes such that a box formed by the outer box layer and the inner box layer stores the received cards in envelopes. 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the outer box layer and the inner box layer form one or more of a hinged box, a three-sided hinged box, a four-sided hinged box, a box with a hinged flap lip, a clamshell box, a book-style box, a rigid slipcase, a die cut self-locking box, an envelope base box, a five panel wrap box, a full overlap box, a packing carton box, a packing wallet box, a pizza-style box, a self-locking box, and a self-locking tray box. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more depictions comprise a plurality of depictions each depicting elements of a same story. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 10 , further comprising a toy disposed within a box formed by the outer box layer and the inner box layer, the toy comprising an element from the same story. 
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein one of the inner box layer and the outer box layer comprises one or more discrete panels coupled to the other of the inner box layer and the outer box layer. 
     
     
         13 . An apparatus comprising:
 means for disposing an inner box layer within an outer box layer; and   means for selectively revealing one or more depictions on an outer surface of the inner box layer through one or more openings in an outer box layer, the one or more openings having positions in the outer box layer corresponding to positions of the one or more depictions on the outer surface of the inner box layer.   
     
     
         14 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the means for selectively revealing the one or more depictions comprises one or more flaps corresponding to the one or more openings in the outer box layer, the one or more flaps selectively movable away from the outer layer such that the one or more depictions are selectively visible through the one or more openings. 
     
     
         15 . The apparatus of  claim 14 , further comprising means for actuating one or more pop-up elements extending between the one or more flaps and the one or more depictions by movement of the one or more flaps away from the one or more depictions. 
     
     
         16 . The apparatus of  claim 14 , further comprising means for a sensory touch element with a different texture than another portion of the inner box layer. 
     
     
         17 . The apparatus of  claim 14 , further comprising means for audibly broadcasting a predefined sound in response to the one or more flaps being lifted away from the inner box layer. 
     
     
         18 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , further comprising means for selectively concealing contents of the inner box layer and means for receiving cards in envelopes through the means for selectively concealing contents of the inner box layer such that a box is formed by the outer box layer and the inner box layer stores the received cards in envelopes. 
     
     
         19 . A method comprising:
 forming an outer box layer;   forming an inner box layer sized to fit within the outer box layer, the inner box layer comprising one or more depictions on an outer surface of the inner box layer; and   forming one or more openings in the outer box layer, the one or more openings having positions in the outer box layer corresponding to positions of the one or more depictions on the outer surface of the inner box layer such that the one or more depictions are at least selectively visible through the one or more openings.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , further comprising securing the inner box layer within the outer box layer with the one or more openings positioned at the positions of the one or more depictions on the outer surface of the inner box layer.
