Stretchable Cover For Exercise Device And / Or Equipment

Abstract

A removable stretchable cover for exercise equipment has a first wall, a second wall, two side walls and two end walls arranged to form an interior cavity and an opening through which the exercise equipment is appointed to traverse. The opening is formed as a stretchable slit opening adapted to expand to engulf the exercise equipment, and contract in a closed configuration when the exercise equipment is housed within the interior cavity to substantially enclose the equipment within the cover. At least one anti-slip surface is integrated within at least one of the first wall, second wall, two side walls or two end walls. The cover is composed of a thin, stretchy, soft material so that it can be significantly stretched and contracted to snuggly fit over the exercise equipment. Examples of exercise equipment for which the cover is especially well suited include yoga blocks, foam rollers, exercise balls and arm handles of exercise machines.

1 . A removable cover for exercise equipment, comprising:
 a. a stretchable cover having a first wall, a second wall, two side walls and two end walls arranged to form an interior cavity;   b. said interior cavity including an opening through which said exercise equipment is appointed to traverse for receiving and temporarily housing said exercise equipment within said cavity;   c. said opening being formed as a slit and being a stretchable opening adapted to expand to engulf said exercise equipment when being inserted, and contract in a closed configuration when said exercise equipment is housed within said interior cavity, wherein said opening substantially closes over said exercise equipment so that it is substantially completely enclosed within said cover;   d. at least one absorbent surface integrated within at least one of said first wall, second wall, two side walls or two end walls; and   e. said cover being composed of a thin, stretchy, soft material, including spandex, Lycra or nylon, that can be significantly stretched and contracted to snuggly fit and cover said exercise equipment.

         3 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said cover is formed as an elongated tube sleeve and said exercise equipment is a foam roller. 
     
     
         4 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said cover is formed as a circle and said exercise equipment is an exercise ball. 
     
     
         5 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said cover is formed as a truncated tube sleeve and said exercise equipment is an arm handle of an exercise machine. 
     
     
         6 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said opening is located on either said first wall or said second wall. 
     
     
         7 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said opening is located on one of said side walls or end walls. 
     
     
         8 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said opening includes a covering flap, said flap having fastening means for securing said flap in a closed configuration. 
     
     
         9 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said opening is formed as an elongated narrow slit. 
     
     
         10 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said absorbent surface is integrated within said first wall and said second wall. 
     
     
         11 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said absorbent surface is integrated within said side walls. 
     
     
         12 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said absorbent surface is integrated within said end walls. 
     
     
         13 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said anti-slip surface is integrated within said first, second, side and end walls thereby substantially covering said equipment in its entirety.

         16 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said cover includes antimicrobial/antibacterial properties. 
     
     
         17 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein at least one wall includes an absorptive cloth layer appointed to absorb sweat. 
     
     
         18 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said cover is composed of an elastic material. 
     
     
         19 . A removable cover for exercise equipment as recited in  claim 1  comprising a mesh bag for housing and carrying said cover when not in use. 
     
     
         20 . A removable cover for exercise devices, comprising:
 a. a stretchable cover having a first wall, a second wall, two side walls and two end walls arranged to form an interior cavity;   b. said interior cavity including an opening through which an exercise device is appointed to traverse, for receiving and temporarily housing said exercise device within said cavity;   c. said opening formed as a slit and being a stretchable opening formed as an elongated narrow slit adapted to expand to engulf said exercise device when being inserted, and to contract into a closed configuration when said exercise device is housed within said interior cavity, wherein said opening substantially closes over said exercise device so that it is substantially completely enclosed within said cover;   d. at least one absorbent surface integrated within at least one of said first wall, second wall, two side walls or two end walls; and   e. said cover being composed of a thin, stretchy, soft material so that it can be significantly stretched and contracted to snuggly fit and cover said exercise device.   
     
     
         21 . A removable cover for exercise blocks as recited in  claim 20 , wherein said cover is formed as an elongated tube sleeve and said exercise equipment is a foam roller. 
     
     
         22 . A removable cover for exercise blocks as recited in  claim 20 , wherein said cover is formed as a circle and said exercise equipment is an exercise ball. 
     
     
         23 . A removable cover for exercise blocks as recited in  claim 20 , wherein said cover is formed as a truncated tube sleeve and said exercise equipment is an arm handle of an exercise machine.
