Semi-permanent tattoos

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to semi-permanent tattoos, and more particularly to genipin-based ink compositions as well as layered adhesive articles and methods for application of the genipin-based, semi-permanent tattoos. In some embodiments, the genipin-based ink composition comprises: purified genipin present in an amount of about 5% to about 10% w/w of the composition; one or more volatile solvents present in an amount of about 70% to about 85% w/w of the composition; one or more semi-volatile semi-permanent colorant solubilizers present in an amount of about 10% to about 20% w/w of the composition; and one or more surface-active agents present in an amount of about 0.25% to about 5% w/w of the composition.

1 . A composition comprising:
 one or more semi-permanent colorants;   one or more volatile solvents; and   one or more semi-volatile semi-permanent colorant solubilizers.   
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition has a viscosity from about 1 to about 7 centipoise.
