System and Methods for Multimedia "Hot Spot" Enablement
Abstract
A method for creating a multimedia presentation element, comprises selecting a presentation element icon; adding information to a presentation element box defined by a presentation boundary within a first multimedia element of the multi-media presentation having a plurality of multimedia elements, the presentation element boundary resulting from the selection of the presentation element icon; and associating the presentation element box with the first multimedia element such that the presentation element box remains associated to the first multimedia element during navigation from different multimedia elements of the plurality of multimedia elements, is described herein.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method comprising:
receiving a selection that defines a first area of a multimedia element for association with a hotspot; receiving input to add identifying information to the hotspot; receiving input to reposition the hotspot to a second area of the multimedia element; and displaying the identifying information of the hotspot at the second area of the multimedia presentation.
2 . A method as described in claim 1 , wherein the multimedia element is an image.
3 . A method as described in claim 1 , wherein the multimedia element is a video.
4 . A method as described in claim 1 , wherein the identifying information includes text displayed at the second area of the multimedia presentation.
5 . A method as described in claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving an input to activate display of the hotspot; and displaying the identifying information responsive to the input to activate the display of the hotspot.
6 . A method as described in claim 5 , wherein the input to activate the display of the hotspot is clicking the second area.
7 . A method as described in claim 1 , further comprising displaying identifying information of at least one additional hotspot responsive to activating display of the hotspot.
8 . A method as described in claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving an additional selection that defines a third area of the multimedia element for association with an additional hotspot; receiving input to add respective identifying information to the additional hotspot; and displaying the respective identifying information of the additional hotspot at the third area of the multimedia element.
9 . A method as described in claim 1 , wherein the hotspot links to additional multimedia and is selectable to present the additional multimedia.
10 . A system comprising:
a display component; an input component; and a user interface application to:
receive, via the input component, a selection that defines a first area of a multimedia element for association with a hotspot;
receive, via the input component, input to add identifying information to the hotspot;
receive, via the input component, input to reposition the hotspot to a second area of the multimedia element; and
display, via the display component, the identifying information of the hotspot at the second area of the multimedia presentation.
11 . A system as described in claim 10 , wherein the multimedia element is an image or a video.
12 . A system as described in claim 10 , wherein:
the input component is further configured to receive an input to activate display of the hotspot; and the user interface application is further configured to cause the display component to display the identifying information responsive to the input to activate the display of the hotspot.
13 . A system as described in claim 10 , wherein the user interface application is further configured to cause the display component to display identifying information of at least one additional hotspot responsive to display of the hotspot being activated.
14 . A system as described in claim 10 , wherein the user interface application is further configured to:
receive, via the input component, an additional selection that defines a third area of the multimedia element for association with an additional hotspot; receive, via the input component, input to add respective identifying information to the additional hotspot; and cause the display component to display the respective identifying information of the additional hotspot at the third area of the multimedia element.
15 . A system as described in claim 10 , wherein the hotspot links to additional multimedia and is selectable to present the additional multimedia.
16 . One or more computer-readable storage media having stored thereon instructions that are executable by at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
receiving a selection that defines a first area of a multimedia element for association with a hotspot; receiving input to add identifying information to the hotspot; receiving input to reposition the hotspot to a second area of the multimedia element; and displaying the identifying information of the hotspot at the second area of the multimedia presentation.
17 . One or more computer-readable storage media as described in claim 16 , wherein the multimedia element is an image or a video.
18 . One or more computer-readable storage media as described in claim 16 , wherein the identifying information includes text displayed at the second area of the multimedia presentation.
19 . One or more computer-readable storage media as described in claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise:
receiving an input to activate display of the hotspot; and displaying the identifying information responsive to the input to activate the display of the hotspot.
20 . One or more computer-readable storage media as described in claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise displaying identifying information of at least one additional hotspot responsive to activating display of the hotspot.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
