Abstract

A flexible display device includes a substrate having a flat region, a bending region, and a boundary region disposed between the flat region and the bending region; an organic light-emitting structure disposed on the substrate; an encapsulation layer disposed on the organic light-emitting structure; and a protective structure disposed opposite to the organic light emitting structure with the substrate disposed therebetween, the protective structure having a first portion disposed under the flat region and a second portion disposed under the boundary region. A thickness of the first portion is substantially uniform, and a thickness of the second portion decreases in a direction from the flat region toward the bending region.
