Packaging
Abstract
Packaging includes a sleeve and a re-configurable container. The re-configurable container comprises a box and a front flap which are hinged together and are pivotable between a folded-together configuration in which the front flap rests against a front panel of the box and the container is insertable into and removable from the sleeve and an unfolded configuration in which an aperture in the front panel of the box is accessible to give access to a first compartment of the box. A printed document is removably secured to a front face of the front flap and the arrangement is such that, when the container is inserted in the sleeve, the sleeve covers the printed document and, when the container is removed from the sleeve, the printed document is accessible and is removable from the front flap.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Packaging comprising:
a sleeve; and a re-configurable container comprising a box and a front flap which are hinged together and are pivotable between (i) a folded-together configuration in which the front flap rests against a front panel of the box and the container is insertable into and removable from the sleeve and (ii) an unfolded configuration in which an aperture in the front panel of the box is accessible to give access to a first compartment of the box; wherein a printed document is removably secured to a front face of the front flap; and wherein, when the container is inserted in the sleeve, the sleeve covers the printed document and, when the container is removed from the sleeve, the printed document is accessible and is removable from the front flap.
2 . The packaging according to claim 1 , wherein the printed document is a booklet.
3 . The packaging according to claim 1 , wherein a hinge line between the box and the front flap includes one or more longitudinal cuts which define a location of the hinge line and reduce a resistance to pivoting of the front flap relative to the box.
4 . The packaging according to claim 1 , wherein a tray is positioned inside the box and the first compartment of the box is provided by a well formed in a front face of the tray.
5 . The packaging according to claim 4 , wherein:
the front face of the tray is provided by a platform surface of the tray; and the box has an edge panel which is an access flap for providing access behind the platform surface of the tray.
6 . The packaging according to claim 5 , wherein, when the access flap is open, the tray may slide out of the box to provide access to a second compartment behind the platform surface of the tray.
7 . The packaging according to claim 5 , wherein:
the sleeve has a closed bottom end and an open top end; and the access flap is a top flap of the box, wherein, when the container is inserted in the sleeve, the top flap of the box is positioned at the open end of the sleeve and a removable security seal is placed across the open end of the sleeve.
8 . The packaging according to claim 5 , wherein:
a vaping device is positioned in the well of the tray; and one or more of a charger for the vaping device, an e-liquid bottle for resupplying the vaping device with e-liquid, or a pack of vaping device components are positioned behind the platform surface of the tray.
9 . The packaging according to claim 4 , wherein:
the box comprises the front panel, a rear panel opposed to the front panel, a first edge panel, a second edge panel, a third edge panel, and a fourth edge panel; and the tray is sandwiched between the front panel and the rear panel of the box.
10 . The packaging according to claim 7 , wherein:
a top edge of the rear panel of the box includes a locking tab which is releasably engageable with the top flap of the box to hold the top flap shut; and wherein, when the container is inserted in the sleeve, the sleeve prevents the locking tab from being removed from engagement with the top flap of the box.
11 . The packaging according to claim 1 , wherein the printed document is removably secured to the front face of the front flap by one or more pairs of opposed retaining tabs which are provided on the front face of the front flap and which releasably engage a periphery of the printed document.
12 . The packaging according to claim 1 , wherein an edge of the front flap opposite to a hinge line between the front flap and the box includes one or more side tabs which, in the folded-together configuration of the container, releasably engage one or more respective cut lines in the box for holding the front flap against the front panel of the box.
