Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium

Abstract

An image processing apparatus for reading a document to generate image data using a reading unit performs, receiving a job including a document reading-and-transmission job for causing the reading unit to read a document to generate image data and then transmitting the image data to a specified destination, from an information processing apparatus communicable via a network, storing the received job, displaying a list of the stored jobs in response to a user instruction, displaying a confirmation screen related to transmission setting contents of a document reading-and-transmission job selected from the list of jobs, and executing, in a case where execution of the selected document reading-and-transmission job is instructed via the confirmation screen, the document reading-and-transmission job.

         2 . An image processing apparatus comprising:
 a scanning unit configured to scan an image of a document;   a user interface;   a receiving unit configured to receive, from a communication terminal, information on a job for executing scan processing of the document by the scanning unit; and   a controlling unit configured to perform control to:   not cause the scanning unit to execute the scan processing of the document until a scan instruction is received via the user interface, even with a receipt of the information by the receiving unit,   cause the scanning unit to execute the scan processing of the document based on scan setting set on the communication terminal in a case where the scan instruction is received via the user interface after the receipt of the information by the receiving unit, and   transmit image data generated by executing the scan processing by the scanning unit to a destination set on the communication terminal.   
     
     
         3 . The image processing apparatus according to  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a display configured to display a screen that includes the destination set on the communication terminal, after the receipt of the information.   
     
     
         4 . The image processing apparatus according to  claim 2 , further comprising:
 an accepting unit configured to accept setting for the scan processing of the document, after the receipt of the information.   
     
     
         5 . The image processing apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the image data generated by scanning the document through the scan processing is able to be previewed before the image data is transmitted. 
     
     
         6 . The image processing apparatus according to  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a generating unit configured to generate the job, upon receiving the information.   
     
     
         7 . The image processing apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the controlling unit performs the control to transmit, by fax, the image data generated by executing the scan processing by the scanning unit to the destination set on the communication terminal. 
     
     
         8 . The image processing apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the information is received from the communication terminal by a predetermined wireless communication method. 
     
     
         9 . A control method of an image processing apparatus comprising:
 scanning an image of a document;   receiving, from a communication terminal, information on a job for executing scan processing of the document by the scanning unit; and   not executing the scan processing of the document until a scan instruction is received even with a receipt of the information by the receiving, executing the scan processing of the document based on scan setting set on the communication terminal in a case where the scan instruction is received after the receipt of the information by the receiving, and transmitting image data generated by executing the scan processing to a destination set on the communication terminal.   
     
     
         10 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium for causing a computer to perform a control method for controlling an image processing apparatus, the control method comprising:
 scanning an image of a document;   receiving, from a communication terminal, information on a job for executing scan processing of the document by the scanning unit; and   not executing the scan processing of the document until a scan instruction is received even with a receipt of the information by the receiving, executing the scan processing of the document based on scan setting set on the communication terminal in a case where the scan instruction is received after the receipt of the information by the receiving, and transmitting image data generated by executing the scan processing to a destination set on the communication terminal.
