Noise suppresor for firearms
Abstract
The present invention relates to a noise suppressor for firearms comprising a main tubular body, a retractable muzzle booster provided within the main tubular body, a retracting means configured with the muzzle booster, an expanding chamber provided within the main tubular body, a wire mesh provided on the surface of the expanding chamber, a wipes and spacers means disposed between the expanding chamber and the front portion of the main tubular body, and an end cap secured to the front end portion of the main tubular body. The herein constructional feature of the noise suppressor effectively and tremendously reduces the sound level from the standard sound level of “160 decibels” to approximately “80 decibels.”
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A noise suppressor for firearms comprising: a main tubular body having a main bore and an internally threaded front and rear end portions; a retractable muzzle booster provided within the rear portion of said main tubular body, said retractable muzzle booster being defined by a first tubular body having a first bore, a front end portion and an internally threaded rear end portion, said front end portion being defined by an externally threaded first peripheral flange; a retracting means being operationally configured with said muzzle booster; an expanding chamber provided within the middle portion of said main tubular body and operationally configured with said retractable muzzle booster, said expanding chamber being defined by a second tubular body having a second bore in direct communication with said first bore and a stepped rear section extending to a diametrically reduced front section, said stepped rear section having a second peripheral flange and said diametrically reduced front section having a third peripheral flange, said second tubular body being provided with a plurality of first and second holes and said second peripheral flange being provided with a plurality of third holes; a wire mesh being provided on the surface of said reduced front section of said second tubular body; a wipes means provided within said main tubular body and disposed between said expanding chamber and said front portion of said main tubular body; and an end cap being secured to the front end portion of said main tubular body, said end cap having a hole in direct communication with said first bore and second bore third and fourth bore.
2 . A noise suppressor according to claim 1 , wherein said retracting means comprising a housing with a rear end portion having a fourth peripheral flange, an externally threaded sidewall, and a coil spring provided along the inner surface of said sidewall adapted to actuate said muzzle booster in a retracting manner with respect to the gun barrel.
3 . A noise suppressor according to claim 1 , wherein said wipes means comprising set of pair of rubber composite materials and a ring spacer arranged alternately in sets from the third peripheral flange of said diametrically reduced front section of the second tubular body up to the front end portion of said main tubular body, said rubber composite materials having a third bore and said ring spacer having a fourth bore, said third and fourth bores being in direct communication with said first and second bores.
4 . A noise suppressor according to claim 2 , wherein said wipes means comprising set of pair of rubber composite materials and a ring spacer arranged alternately in sets from the third peripheral flange of said diametrically reduced front section of the second tubular body up to the front end portion of said main tubular body, said rubber composite materials having a third bore and said ring spacer having a fourth bore, said third and fourth bores being in direct communication with said first and second bores.
5 . A noise suppressor according to claim 4 , wherein the front surface of said first peripheral flange of the muzzle booster is formed with a space defined by a circumferential funnel-like indention extending from the periphery of said first peripheral flange towards said first bore at the central portion thereof.
6 . A noise suppressor according to claim 5 , wherein the bore said rubber composite materials is smaller than the bores of said retractable muzzle booster, expanding chamber and ring spacer.
7 . A noise suppressor according to claim 6 , wherein said ring spacer is made of steel material.
8 . A noise suppressor according to claim 6 , wherein said rubber composite materials are made of flexible material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
