Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus and an information processing method that are configured to be capable of efficiently acquiring information for use in generating three-dimensional data from two-dimensional image data. A grouping block sorts two or more virtual cameras for acquiring two-dimensional image data into two or more groups. A global table generation block generates a global table is which group information related with each of two or more groups is registered. A group table generation block generates, for each group, a group table in which camera information for use in generating three-dimensional data from two-dimensional image data acquired by a virtual camera sorted into a group is registered. The present disclosure is applicable to an encoding apparatus and the like, for example.

a generating unit configured to generate three-dimensional data of an object based on at least a part of a plurality of imaging data obtained from a plurality of imaging devices arranged at different positions; and a determining unit configured to determine a plurality of pieces of imaging data for generating three-dimensional data of the object based on viewpoint information of a viewpoint at which a user views the object, wherein the generating unit is configured to generate three-dimensional data of the object using the plurality of pieces of imaging data determined by the determination unit, and wherein the generating unit and the determining unit are each implemented via at least one processor.
2 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
an acquisition unit configured to acquire the plurality of pieces of imaging data determined by the determination unit from the plurality of imaging data acquired from the plurality of imaging devices, wherein the acquisition unit is implemented via at least one processor.
3 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the generation unit is configured to generate three-dimensional data of the object from the plurality of pieces of imaging data determined by the determination unit based on an internal parameter and an external parameter of the imaging device regarding the plurality of pieces of imaging data determined by the determination unit.
4 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the determination unit is configured to determine a plurality of pieces of imaging data which generate the three-dimensional data of the object based on group information of a group when the plurality of imaging devices are classified into a plurality of groups.
5 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 ,
wherein the plurality of imaging devices are configured to be classified into the plurality of groups based on positions of the plurality of imaging devices.
6 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the determination unit is configured to determine a plurality of imaging data which generates the three-dimensional data of the object based on the viewpoint information and information showing a gravity center position of a region containing an imaging device classified into the group.
7 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 ,
wherein an imaging device corresponding to the imaging data is classified into a group for each three-dimensional object corresponding to three-dimensional data generated using the imaging data.
8 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 7 ,
wherein the group information is information representing the three-dimensional object corresponding to the group, and wherein the group selection unit is configured to select a group corresponding to the group information representing the three-dimensional object to be a subject in the image of the viewpoint as a predetermined group.
9 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 ,
wherein the determining unit is configured to determine a plurality of pieces of imaging data for generating three-dimensional data of the object, based on the group information in which an imaging device corresponding to the two-dimensional image data is classified into a group for each three-dimensional space corresponding to three-dimensional data generated using the two-dimensional image data.
10 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 9 ,
wherein the group information is information representing the three-dimensional space corresponding to the group, and wherein the group selection unit is configured to select a group corresponding to the group information representing the three-dimensional space including a virtual viewpoint as a predetermined group.
11 . An information processing method for generating three-dimensional data of object comprising:
determining a plurality of pieces of imaging data for generating three-dimensional data of an object based on viewpoint information of a viewpoint at which a user views the object from a plurality of imaging data acquired by a plurality of imaging devices; and generating three-dimensional data of the object using the determined plurality of pieces of imaging data.
12 . The information processing method for generating three-dimensional data of object according to claim 11 , further comprising:
classifying at least some of the plurality of imaging devices that acquire the plurality of imaging data into a plurality of groups; generating group information for each group in which the plurality of imaging devices that acquire imaging data are classified into the plurality of groups; and generating imaging device information for each group used when generating three-dimensional data from the imaging data acquired by the imaging devices classified into the group.
13 . The information processing method for generating three-dimensional data of object according to claim 12 ,
wherein the determination of the plurality of pieces of imaging data for generating three-dimensional data of the object is based on group information of imaging devices determined based on viewpoint information of a viewpoint at which a viewer views the object.
14 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having embodied thereon a program, which when executed by a computer causes the computer to execute an information processing method for generating three-dimensional data of object, the method comprising:
determining a plurality of pieces of imaging data for generating three-dimensional data of an object based on viewpoint information of a viewpoint at which a user views the object from a plurality of imaging data acquired by a plurality of imaging devices; and generating three-dimensional data of the object using the determined plurality of pieces of imaging data.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
