Abstract

Embodiments described include systems and methods for integrating use of a cloud discovery service into a client application for a network application is provided. A client application can establish, for a user, one or more sessions with one or more network applications via an embedded browser within the client application. A request to access a uniform resource locator (URL) from a network application accessed via the embedded browser can be intercepted. The client application can communicate with a cloud discovery service to determine a location for which to send the URL for the user. The cloud service can select the location from a plurality of locations based at least on a context of the user. The client application can receive, from the cloud discovery service, the location for the URL and, responsive to the request, transmit the URL to the location selected by the cloud discovery service.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

         1 . A method comprising:
intercepting, by a device, a request to access uniform resource locator (URL) from a network application of the one or more network applications accessible via a browser within a client application of the device; receiving, by the device from a discovery service, a location for which to send the URL for a user of the device selected based at least on a context of the user; and transmitting, by the device responsive to the request, the URL to the location.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising intercepting the request to access the URL from a web page being displayed for the network application in the browser.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the discovery service selected the location from a plurality of locations based at least on the context of the user.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprises identifying, by the device, the context of the user.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating, by the device responsive to the request, the context of the user to the discovery service.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the context comprises one or more of the following: identity of the user, a home location of the user, information about the device, information about the network application, and information about an entity associated with the user.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprises communicating, by the device, a second request to resolve the URL to the location via the discovery service.

         8 . A system comprising:
one or more processors, coupled to memory and configured to: intercept a request to access uniform resource locator (URL) from a network application of the one or more network applications accessible via a browser within a client application of the device; receive, from a discovery service, a location for which to send the URL for a user of the device selected based at least on a context of the user; and transmit, responsive to the request, the URL to the location.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to intercept the request to access the URL from a web page being displayed for the network application in the browser.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the discovery service selected the location from a plurality of locations based at least on the context of the user.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to identify the context of the user.

12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to communicate, responsive to the request, the context of the user to the discovery service.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the context comprises one or more of the following: identity of the user, a home location of the user, information about the device, information about the network application, and information about an entity associated with the user.

14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to communicate a second request to resolve the URL to the location via the discovery service.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
intercept a request to access uniform resource locator (URL) from a network application of the one or more network applications accessible via a browser within a client application of the device; receive, from a discovery service, a location for which to send the URL for a user of the device selected based at least on a context of the user; and transmit, responsive to the request, the URL to the location.

16 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to intercept the request to access the URL from a web page being displayed for the network application in the browser.

17 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the discovery service selected the location from a plurality of locations based at least on the context of the user.

18 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to identify the context of the user.

19 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to communicate, responsive to the request, the context of the user to the discovery service.

20 . The computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the context comprises one or more of the following: identity of the user, a home location of the user, information about the device, information about the network application, and information about an entity associated with the user.
