Claims

Abstract

A filter cartridge comprises a filter core, a filter frame, glue, and at least one sealing unit. The filter frame is mounted around an axial end of the filter core and has a frame body, an abutting segment, and a gluing segment. The abutting segment axially protrudes from and annularly extends along an edge of one of two axial end openings. The gluing segment axially protrudes from and annularly extends around the abutting segment, and surrounds the filter core. The glue is coated on and is wrapped around the gluing segment, extends into a position between the gluing segment and the filter core, and attaches to an inner gluing surface of the gluing segment, an outer gluing surface of the gluing segment, and an outer surface of the filter core. Therefore, the adhering area between the glue and the filter frame is effectively increased.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A filter frame mounted around an axial end of a filter core and adhered to the filter core by glue, the filter frame comprising:
 an axial direction;   a radial direction being perpendicular to the axial direction;   a frame body disposed on the axial end of the filter core, being annular and having two axial end openings being opposite to each other;   an abutting segment axially protruding from and annularly extending along an edge of one of the two axial end openings, said axial end opening facing the filter core, and the abutting segment having
 a filter core abutting surface formed on a surface of the abutting segment, and said surface being distal from the frame body, wherein the filter core abutting surface is for abutting against the axial end of the filter core; 
   a gluing segment axially protruding from and annularly extending around the filter core abutting surface of the abutting segment, and having
 an inner gluing surface formed on a radial inner side of the gluing segment; 
 an outer gluing surface formed on a radial outer side of the gluing segment; 
   wherein the gluing segment is for surrounding the filter core and is for being wrapped around and coated by the glue; the inner gluing surface and the outer gluing surface are for attaching to the glue.   
     
     
         2 . The filter frame as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the gluing segment has
 a top gluing surface formed on an end of the gluing segment, said end being distal from the abutting segment; the top gluing surface connecting between the inner gluing surface and the outer gluing surface and being for attaching to the glue.   
     
     
         3 . The filter frame as claimed in  claim 1  further comprising:
 an adhering segment radially protruding from and annularly extending along the radial outer side of the gluing segment, and having:
 a bottom gluing surface formed on an end of the adhering segment, and said end being distal from the abutting segment; the bottom gluing surface connected to the outer gluing surface and being for attaching to the glue. 
 
 
     
     
         4 . The filter frame as claimed in  claim 1  further comprising:
 an inclined segment annularly extending along a boundary between the abutting segment and the gluing segment, and having
 an inclined gluing surface obliquely connecting between the filter core abutting surface and the inner gluing surface and being for attaching to the glue. 
 
 
     
     
         5 . The filter frame as claimed in  claim 1  further comprising at least one strengthening board, wherein each one of the at least one strengthening board has two opposite ends respectively and radially connecting to two inner surfaces of the frame body, and said two inner surfaces are opposite to each other; two opposite axial sides of each one of the at least one strengthening board are respectively aligned with the filter core abutting surface of the abutting segment and an edge of one of the axial end openings of the frame body, and said axial end opening is distal from the abutting segment. 
     
     
         6 . A filter cartridge comprising:
 a filter core;   a filter frame mounted around an axial end of the filter core and having
 an axial direction; 
 a radial direction being perpendicular to the axial direction; 
 a frame body disposed on the axial end of the filter core, being annular, and having two axial end openings being opposite to each other; 
 an abutting segment axially protruding from and annularly extending along an edge of one of the two axial end openings, said axial end opening facing the filter core, and the abutting segment having
 a filter core abutting surface formed on a surface of the abutting segment and said surface being distal from the frame body; the filter core abutting surface abutting against the axial end of the filter core; 
 
 a gluing segment axially protruding from and annularly extending around the filter core abutting surface of the abutting segment, surrounding the filter core, and having
 an inner gluing surface formed on a radial inner side of the gluing segment; 
 an outer gluing surface formed on a radial outer side of the gluing segment; 
 
   glue coated on the gluing segment, extending into a position between the gluing segment and the filter core, and attaching to the inner gluing surface of the gluing segment, the outer gluing surface of the gluing segment, and an outer surface of the filter core; and   at least one sealing unit annularly mounted around the filter frame.   
     
     
         7 . The filter cartridge as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein
 the frame body of the filter frame has at least one annular recess annularly formed in a radial outer surface of the frame body;   each one of the at least one sealing unit is a resilient sealing ring, the at least one sealing unit is mounted around the at least one annular recess of the frame body and protrudes out of the at least one annular recess; an annular centerline is formed by a center of a cross section of each one of the at least one sealing unit extending along the contour of said sealing unit, and the centerline is disposed inside the at least one annular recess.   
     
     
         8 . The filter cartridge as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein the at least one sealing unit is made of foam rubber.
