Abstract

A shoe string coated with rubber substance in order to grip and stay tied. The coating can be in strip form or patterns. Rubber protrusions on the shoe laces grip together where the knot is formed to form more resistance causing the laces to stay tied for longer periods of time.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . An anti-slip string, comprising:
a woven fabric material formed as a string, the string having an outer surface; and an elastomeric material adhered to the outer surface of the string as one or more elastomeric bodies protruding from the outer surface of the string.

2 . The anti-slip string of claim 1 , wherein the outer surface includes a top surface and a bottom surface.

3 . The anti-slip string of claim 2 , wherein the elastomeric material is a silicone material.

4 . The anti-slip string of claim 3 , wherein the one or more elastomeric bodies are formed in a repeating pattern on one or more of the top surface and the bottom surface.

5 . The anti-slip string of claim 4 , wherein the one or more elastomeric bodies are disposed along a majority of a longitudinal length of the string.

6 . The anti-slip string of claim 4 , wherein the elastomeric bodies are disposed in a knot region of the string.

7 . A method of retaining a string in a knotted condition, comprising:
providing a length of woven fabric material formed as a string, the string having an outer surface; and applying an elastomeric material to the outer surface of the string as one or more elastomeric bodies protruding from the outer surface.

8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
tying the string in a knot so that the elastomeric bodies of a first segment of the string are juxtaposed in frictional opposition with the elastomeric bodies of a second segment of the string within the knot.

9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the step of applying the elastomeric material further comprises:
printing a liquid silicone on the outer surface of the string.

10 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the elastomeric bodies are defined in a pattern on the outer surface of the string.
