Abstract

An advanced healthcare information routing and delivery system and method of use and doing business. Some embodiments provide medical professional rule-based message routing and delivery of messages. In some embodiments, the system stores, retrieves, evaluates, and applies one or more medical professional on-call coverage routing rules, message delivery procedure rules, or rule application filters. In some embodiments, the system automatically routes messages to target devices based on the application of medical professional on-call coverage routing rules, delivery procedure rules, or both. In some embodiments, rule application is determined, in part, by prioritized rule application filters. In some embodiments, medical professionals, end users, and system administrators can configure rules, rule application filters, or both in real time via mobile device interfaces, workstation interfaces, or browser-based interfaces. In some embodiments, the systems can be used to provide novel business methods in the field of healthcare message routing and delivery.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A healthcare message routing and delivery computing system, comprising:
A computing system having a non-volatile memory; means for storing at least one routing rule in said non-volatile memory, said routing rule comprising a plurality of medical professional on-call coverage routing rules and a plurality of message delivery procedure rules; means for storing a plurality of routing rule application filters in said non-volatile memory; means for receiving a routable message from a remote automated messaging device; means for matching at least one among the plurality of routing rule application filters to one or more of the plurality medical professional on-call coverage routing rules; means for applying the one or more of the medical professional on-call coverage routing rules to determine at least one remote target communication device; means for sending the routable message to the remote target communication device; and means for receiving confirmation of receipt of the routable message from the or another remote target communication device.

2 . The healthcare message routing and delivery computing system of claim 1 , wherein the means for storing a plurality of routing rule application filters comprises a document-oriented schemaless database.

3 . The healthcare message routing and delivery computing system of claim 2 , wherein the document-oriented schemaless database uses a data storage computer data interchange format and a network transfer computer data interchange format.

4 . The healthcare message routing and delivery computing system of claim 3 , wherein the data storage computer data interchange format and the network transfer computer data interchange format comprise a binary javascript object notation.
