Electronic device for attachment to a beverage container
Abstract
An electronic device, system, and method for sending and receiving a communication relating to a beverage bottle to and from an electronic device, in which the electronic device may include a receiving portion including an aperture configured to receive a neck of a beverage container; a processor; memory; wireless communication circuitry; at least one actuator; and at least one indicator. The electronic device may be configured to attach to the neck of the beverage container via the receiving portion. The wireless communication circuitry may be configured to receive a wireless communication. The processor may be configured to activate the at least one indicator in response to the communication.

the beverage container attachment portion is configured to attach the electronic device to a beverage container;
the temperature sensor is configured to measure a temperature and generate a temperature signal encoding the measured temperature;
the processor is configured to cause the wireless communication circuitry to wirelessly transmit a communication including data reflective of the measured temperature;
the wireless communication circuitry is configured to receive a wireless communication; and
the processor is configured to activate the at least one indicator in response to the received wireless communication.
2 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one indicator comprises a visual indicator.
3 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one indicator comprises an auditory indicator.
4 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a microphone and at least one actuator; wherein:
the processor is configured to detect an actuation of the at least one actuator; and the device is configured to, subsequent to the detection of an actuation, receive an auditory signal for recordation via the microphone, whereby a representation of the auditory signal is stored in the memory.
5 . The electronic device of claim 4 , wherein the at least one indicator comprises a speaker, and the processor is configured to detect an actuation of the at least one actuator, and subsequent to the detection of an actuation, cause the representation of the auditory signal to be played via the speaker.
6 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a receiving portion including an aperture configured to receive a neck of a beverage container, wherein the electronic device is configured to attach to the neck of the beverage container via the receiving portion.
7 . The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein the receiving portion at least partially encompasses the aperture.
8 . The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein the receiving portion further comprises at least one flap proximate the aperture, wherein the flap is movable in relation to the receiving portion.
9 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a skin receiving portion configured to receive a customizable skin.
10 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising an accelerometer;
wherein:
the accelerometer is configured sense a movement of the electronic device and generate a movement signal encoding the sensed movement; and
the processor is configured to cause the wireless communication circuitry to wirelessly transmit a third communication including data reflective of the sensed movement.
11 . An electronic device comprising:
a processor; memory; wireless communication circuitry; at least one indicator; an accelerometer; and a beverage container attachment portion; wherein:
the beverage container attachment portion is configured to attach the electronic device to a beverage container;
the accelerometer is configured sense a movement of the electronic device and generate a movement signal encoding the sensed movement;
the processor is configured to cause the wireless communication circuitry to wirelessly transmit a communication including data reflective of the sensed movement;
the wireless communication circuitry is configured to receive a wireless communication; and
the processor is configured to activate the at least one indicator in response to the received wireless communication.
12 . The electronic device of claim 10 , wherein the at least one indicator comprises a visual indicator.
13 . The electronic device of claim 10 , wherein the at least one indicator comprises an auditory indicator.
14 . The electronic device of claim 10 , further comprising a microphone and at least one actuator; wherein:
the processor is configured to detect an actuation of the at least one actuator; and the device is configured to, subsequent to the detection of an actuation, receive an auditory signal for recordation via the microphone, whereby a representation of the auditory signal is stored in the memory.
15 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the at least one indicator comprises a speaker, and the processor is configured to detect an actuation of the at least one actuator, and subsequent to the detection of an actuation, cause the representation of the auditory signal to be played via the speaker.
16 . The electronic device of claim 10 , further comprising a receiving portion including an aperture configured to receive a neck of a beverage container, wherein the electronic device is configured to attach to the neck of the beverage container via the receiving portion.
17 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the receiving portion at least partially encompasses the aperture.
18 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the receiving portion further comprises at least one flap proximate the aperture, wherein the flap is movable in relation to the receiving portion.
19 . The electronic device of claim 11 , further comprising a skin receiving portion configured to receive a customizable skin.
20 . The electronic device of claim 11 , further comprising a temperature sensor;
wherein:
