Apparatus, components, methods and systems for use in selectively texturing concrete surfaces
Abstract
Apparatuses, components, methods, and techniques for selectively texturing concrete surfaces are provided. An example method of providing a surface portion of an architectural precast concrete wall panel with an abraded texture is provided. The method includes a step of spraying a surface portion of an architectural precast concrete wall panel with an aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture under conditions adequate to at least partially abrade the surface portion. An example sprayer system for abrading a concrete surface is also provided. The system includes an aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser including a spray nozzle arrangement. The system also includes a material communication assembly in abrasive flow communication with the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser. The system also includes a dispenser positioning arrangement.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method of providing a surface portion of an architectural precast concrete wall panel with an abraded texture, the method including a step of:
spraying at least a surface portion of an architectural precast concrete wall panel with a first stream including an aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture under conditions adequate to at least partially abrade the surface portion and simultaneously spraying a second stream onto the precast concrete wall panel.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the second stream is one of a wash solution and an aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture.
23 . A sprayer system for abrading a concrete surface, the system comprising:
an aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser including a spray nozzle arrangement; a material communication assembly that allows abrasive flow communication to the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser; and a dispenser positioning arrangement.
24 . The system of claim 23 wherein the material communication assembly includes a flowable aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture therein.
25 . The system according to claim 23 , wherein the material communication assembly comprises:
an aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture delivery assembly connected to the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser via a material communication assembly; and a material communication conduit assembly.
26 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the spray nozzle arrangement comprises a first spray nozzle and a second spray nozzle.
27 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the first spray nozzle and the second spray nozzle are oriented in a substantially same direction.
28 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the second spray nozzle is offset vertically from the first spray nozzle.
29 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the second spray nozzle is offset horizontally from the first spray nozzle.
30 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser includes a spray nozzle actuator assembly that is connected to the spray nozzle assembly and selectively actuates a spatial attribute of the spray nozzle assembly.
31 . The system of claim 30 , wherein the spatial attribute comprises a position of the spray nozzle within the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser.
32 . The system of claim 30 , wherein the spatial attribute comprises an orientation of the spray nozzle.
33 . The system of claim 24 , wherein the spray nozzle actuator assembly selectively actuates a spatial attribute of the spray nozzle in a circular motion.
34 . An aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser apparatus for abrading a concrete surface, the apparatus comprising:
a vapor abrasive material receiver; a spray nozzle arrangement connected to the vapor abrasive material receiver; and spatial attribute adjustment motor assembly that is connected to the spray nozzle arrangement.
35 . The apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser further includes a second spray nozzle and the motor is configured to adjust a spatial attribute of the second spray nozzle.
36 . The apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the second spray nozzle is disposed in an orientation parallel to an orientation of the first spray nozzle.
37 . The apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the second spray nozzle is offset vertically from the first spray nozzle.
38 . The apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the second spray nozzle is offset horizontally from the first spray nozzle.
39 . The apparatus of claim 35 , wherein the spatial attribute comprises a position relative to the aqueous-based particulate abrasive mixture dispenser.
40 . The apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the spatial attribute comprises an orientation.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
