Food preparation apparatus for sliced pizza and method of use thereof

Abstract

A food preparation apparatus for a slice includes a flat bottom and raised side members. The flat bottom is shaped like the slice with two angled sides and an open end. The open end connects the two angled sides. The open end is also straight. Raised side members are on the two angled sides. Wherein, the food preparation apparatus is configured to hold the slice on the bottom where the raised side members are configured to retain the slice and toppings on the food preparation apparatus.

1 . A food preparation apparatus comprising:
 a flat bottom with an open base, an apex on an opposite end of the base, and two sides of equal length between the base and the apex, wherein the two sides of equal length hold two raised side members;   wherein the raised side members rise substantially perpendicular from the flat bottom, each side member beginning at a junction formed by the base and one of the two sides, wherein each side member runs across each side, towards the apex such that the apex is located at an intersection of the two side members, the side members extending and terminating before reaching the apex such that an opening is formed at the apex, and wherein the side members terminate in a sloped manner at the junction formed by the base and the side;   side flares rising substantially perpendicularly from the side members, and parallel to the flat bottom, extending in a direction away from the flat bottom;   a handle formed from the side members, over the open apex, wherein the handle extends from the side flares, beginning at the apex and extending in a direction away from the flat bottom and the apex, wherein a plane of the handle is parallel to the flat bottom.   
     
     
         2 . The food preparation apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the flat bottom and side members are formed substantially from metal. 
     
     
         3 . The food preparation apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the flat bottom forms an isosceles triangle with a base and two equal sides, wherein the front opening is located along the base and the side members are located along the two equal sides. 
     
     
         4 . The food preparation apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the handle is substantially trapezoidal with a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end is at the apex connected to the side flares, and wherein the proximal end is smaller than the distal end, such that the handle tapers as it nears the apex.
