Abstract
An integrated security system integrates broadband and mobile access and control with conventional security systems and premise devices to provide a tri-mode security network having remote connectivity and access. The integrated security system delivers remote premise monitoring and control functionality to conventional monitored premise protection and complements existing premise protection equipment. The integrated security system integrates into the premise network and couples wirelessly with the conventional security panel, enabling broadband access to premise security systems. Automation devices can be added, enabling users to remotely see live video or pictures and control home devices via a personal web portal or other client device. Camera management enables automatic configuration and management of cameras in the premise network. The camera management extends to remote control and monitoring from outside the firewall of the premise network to include routing of images or video from a streaming source device to a requesting client device.

65 . A system comprising:
a touchscreen located at a premises, wherein the touchscreen comprises a gateway configured as a premises gateway; a plurality of network devices installed at the premises and coupled to the touchscreen, wherein the plurality of network devices includes at least one camera device; wherein at least one of the touchscreen and the plurality of network devices is configured to control routing of device data from each network device of the plurality of network devices to a user interface of a requesting client device in response to a request for the device data received from the requesting client device, wherein the user interface is generated at the requesting client device by an application running on the requesting client device.
66 . The system of claim 65 , comprising a remote server coupled to the touchscreen.
67 . The system of claim 66 , wherein at least one of the touchscreen and the plurality of network devices is configured to control routing of the device data via the remote server.
68 . The system of claim 67 , wherein at least one of the touchscreen and the remote server are configured to control routing of the device data from the plurality of network devices to the requesting client device.
69 . The system of claim 68 , wherein when the remote server is unavailable at least one network device is configured to send the device data to the touchscreen and the touchscreen is configured to relay the device data to the requesting client device.
70 . The system of claim 67 , wherein when the remote server is available at least one network device is configured to send the device data to the remote server and the remote server is configured to relay the device data to the requesting client device.
71 . The system of claim 65 , wherein the plurality of network devices includes at least one of an Internet Protocol (IP) device, a sensor, a detector, a controller, an actuator, an automation device, a monitoring device, and a security device.
72 . The system of claim 65 , wherein the at least one camera device includes a plurality of Internet Protocol (IP) cameras.
73 . The system of claim 65 , wherein the touchscreen is coupled to a security system installed at the premises, wherein the security system comprises security system components.
74 . The system of claim 73 , wherein the touchscreen and the security system form a first network.
75 . The system of claim 74 , wherein the touchscreen and the plurality of network devices form a second network that is independent of the first network.
76 . The system of claim 73 , wherein the remote server is configured to receive the device data and security data of the security system.
77 . The system of claim 76 , wherein at least one network device of the plurality of network devices is configured to route relevant content based on the device data and the security data to the requesting client device via at least one of the touchscreen and the remote server.
78 . The system of claim 76 , wherein the at least one of the touchscreen and the remote server is configured to generate and transfer electronic notifications to the requesting client device, wherein the notifications include the device data and the security data.
79 . The system of claim 76 , wherein the touchscreen forms the first network by integrating the security data of the security system components into the security network.
80 . The system of claim 76 , wherein the security system components include at least one of sensors, cameras, input/output (I/O) devices, and accessory controllers.
81 . The system of claim 76 , wherein the touchscreen automatically establishes a coupling with the security system including the security system components.
82 . The system of claim 73 , wherein the touchscreen is configured to generate a user interface, wherein the interface automatically establishes via the touchscreen a coupling with the security system and the plurality of network devices.
83 . The system of claim 82 , wherein the touchscreen transmits to the requesting client device messages comprising the security system and the device data.
84 . The system of claim 82 , wherein the touchscreen receives from the requesting client device control data for control of the plurality of network devices, the security system, and security system components coupled to the security system.
85 . The system of claim 76 , wherein the device data comprises a video stream.
86 . The system of claim 85 , wherein the format of a video stream is automatically selected according to a priority.
87 . The system of claim 85 , wherein the video stream is routed using Universal Plug and Play port forwarding.
88 . The system of claim 85 , wherein the video stream is routed using relay server routing.
89 . The system of claim 85 , wherein the video stream is routed using Simple Traversal of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) through Network Address Translators (NAT) (STUN)/Traversal Using Relay NAT (TURN) peer-to-peer routing.
90 . The system of claim 85 , wherein the video stream includes a video stream comprising a Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG)-4 (MPEG-4)/Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) video stream.
91 . The system of claim 90 , wherein the requesting client device initiates and establishes a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection with the at least one of the touchscreen and the remote server.
92 . The system of claim 90 , wherein the at least one of the touchscreen and the remote server initiates and establishes a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection with the requesting client device.
93 . The system of claim 90 , wherein the device data is routed using Simple Traversal of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) through Network Address Translators (NAT) (STUN)/Traversal Using Relay NAT (TURN) peer-to-peer routing.
94 . The system of claim 85 , wherein the video stream comprises a Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG)-4 (MPEG-4) over Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) video stream.
95 . The system of claim 94 , wherein the requesting client device initiates and establishes a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection with the at least one of the touchscreen and the remote server.
