Abstract

This invention relates generally to a breast implant having an ePTFE layer, a Silicone layer of a breast implant core, and an interface between the ePTFE layer and the Silicone layer.

         1 . An improved breast implant, comprising:
 an ePTFE layer;   a Silicone layer of a breast implant core; and   an interface between the ePTFE layer and the Silicone layer.   
     
     
         2 . The breast implant of  claim 1 , wherein the interface is a mechanical interface. 
     
     
         3 . The breast implant of  claim 2 , wherein the mechanical interface further comprises a plurality of mechanical coupling elements. 
     
     
         4 . The breast implant of  claim 3 , wherein the mechanical coupling elements have a tetrapod shape. 
     
     
         5 . The breast implant of  claim 1 , wherein the interface is an adhesive interface.
