Abstract
Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
receiving first layout data associated with a premises, wherein the first layout data indicates a location of one or more structural components of the premises; causing, based on the first layout data, output of a user interface that visually indicates at least a portion of the premises; receiving user input indicative of a location of a premises device at the premises; and storing second layout data associated with the premises, wherein the second layout data indicates a location, relative to the location of at least one of the one or more structural components, of a premises device icon associated with the premises device.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
causing, based on the user input, output of the premises device icon at the indicated location of the premise device icon.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
causing, based on the second layout data, output of the user interface.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
sending, to a computing device, the second layout data, wherein the computing device is configured to cause, based on the second layout data, output of the user interface.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on an orientation of the at least one of the one or more structural components.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the premises device comprises at least one of a security sensor, a door sensor, a window sensor, a motion sensor, a fire sensor, a smoke sensor, a glass-break sensor, a flood sensor, a light, a lighting control device, a thermostat, a camera, a lock, or an automation device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one of the one or more structural components comprises a wall.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing the first layout data and the second layout data in a file associated with the user interface.
9 . A method comprising:
receiving first layout data associated with a premises, wherein the first layout data indicates a location of one or more structural components of the premises; receiving user input indicative of a location of a premises device at the premises; and causing, based on the first layout data and the user input, output of a user interface that visually indicates at least a portion of the premises and a premises device icon associated with the premises device.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
storing second layout data associated with the premises, wherein the second layout data indicates a location of the premises device icon relative to the location of at least one of the one or more structural components.
11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
causing, based on the second layout data, output of the user interface.
12 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
sending, to a computing device, the second layout data, wherein the computing device is configured to cause, based on the second layout data, output of the user interface.
13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on an orientation of the at least one of the one or more structural components.
14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the premises device comprises at least one of a security sensor, a door sensor, a window sensor, a motion sensor, a fire sensor, a smoke sensor, a glass-break sensor, a flood sensor, a light, a lighting control device, a thermostat, a camera, a lock, or an automation device.
15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the at least one of the one or more structural components comprises a wall.
16 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising storing the first layout data and the second layout data in a file associated with the user interface.
17 . A device comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to: receive first layout data associated with a premises, wherein the first layout data indicates a location of one or more structural components of the premises; cause, based on the first layout data, output of a user interface that visually indicates at least a portion of the premises; receive user input indicative of a location of a premises device at the premises; and store second layout data associated with the premises, wherein the second layout data indicates a location, relative to the location of at least one of the one or more structural components, of a premises device icon associated with the premises device.
18 . The device of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the device to:
cause, based on the user input, output of the premises device icon at the indicated location of the premise device icon.
19 . The device of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the device to:
cause, based on the second layout data, output of the user interface.
20 . The device of claim 17 , wherein the location of the premises device icon is based on an orientation of the at least one of the one or more structural components.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
