Abstract
An insulated magnetic beverage holder is provided having at least one magnetic element retained onto a cylindrically shaped body via a magnet cover. The magnet cover is heat pressed onto the body and over the magnet.

1 . A beverage holder configured to retain a beverage on a vertical ferromagnetic surface, the beverage holder comprising:
a flexible sheet comprising an insulating layer having a first side and a second side, a first wicking layer bonded to the first side of the insulating layer, and a second wicking layer bonded to the second side of the insulating layer; and one or more magnetic elements comprising at least one magnet, the at least one magnet retained by a first magnet cover provided on the first side of the insulating layer,
wherein at least two ends of the flexible sheet are attached to one another to form a cylindrically shaped body.
2 . The beverage holder of claim 1 , wherein the at least one magnet of the one or more magnetic elements is embedded in the insulating layer.
3 . The beverage holder of claim of claim 2 , wherein the one or more magnetic elements further comprise a second magnet cover provided on the second side of the insulating layer.
4 . The beverage holder of claim 3 , wherein the first magnet cover is heat bonded to the first side of the insulating layer, and wherein the second magnet cover is heat bonded to the second side of the insulating layer.
5 . The beverage holder of claim 4 , wherein the first and second magnet covers comprise a heat bond patch having a thermal adhesive.
6 . The beverage holder of claim 1 , wherein the flexible sheet is substantially rectangular and having a width of approximately 4 inches and a length of approximately 8 inches, and wherein the at least two ends of the flexible sheet are opposite ends.
7 . The beverage holder of claim 1 , wherein the means to attach the two opposite ends comprises heat bonding the ends together with at least one heat bond patch.
8 . The beverage holder of claim 1 , wherein the body further comprises a bottom.
9 . The beverage holder of claim 1 , wherein the beverage holder is configured to be reversible.
10 . The beverage holder of claim 8 , wherein the flexible sheet comprises two substantially rectangular portions connected by a substantially elliptical portion provided between the two substantially rectangular portions, and wherein the substantially elliptical portion forms the bottom.
11 . A magnetic beverage holder prepared by a process comprising the steps of:
cutting at least one hole in a flexible sheet; providing at least one magnet within the at least one hole; covering the at least one hole with a first magnet cover, the first magnet cover comprising a thermal adhesive; bonding the magnet cover to the flexible sheet with a heat press device; and attaching at least two ends of the flexible sheet to one another to form a substantially cylindrical shaped body, the substantially cylindrical shaped body configured to hold a beverage container.
12 . The process of claim 11 , wherein the at least one hole in the flexible sheet is cut to be a through hole, and wherein the first magnet cover is provided on a first side of the flexible sheet, the process further comprising covering the at least one hole with a second magnet cover provided on the second side of the flexible sheet.
13 . The process of claim 11 , wherein the step of attaching the two opposite ends of the flexible sheet further comprises applying the heat press device to a thermal adhesive.
14 . The process of claim 11 , further comprising a step of cutting the flexible sheet into a substantially rectangular shape, wherein the at least two ends which are attached to one another are two opposite ends of the flexible sheet.
15 . The process of claim 14 , wherein the substantially rectangular shape has a length of about 8 inches and a width of about 4 inches.
16 . The process of claim 11 , wherein further comprising a step of cutting the flexible sheet into a shape having two substantially rectangular portions connected by a substantially elliptical portion provided between the two substantially rectangular portions.
