Storage accessory for an expandable device

Abstract

A storage accessory for an expandable device includes a body having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a perimeter edge between the first side and the second side. A loop is coupled to the body and extends from the perimeter edge of the body. A cavity is disposed in the first side and is sized to receive a portion of an expandable device. A flange is adjacent to the cavity and is configured to releasably engage a portion of the expandable device. The flange at least partially surrounds a portion of the expandable device when the expandable device is locked to the body.

1 . A storage accessory for an expandable device, the accessory comprising:
 a body having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a perimeter edge between the first side and the second side; and   a loop coupled to the body and extending from the perimeter edge of the body;   a cavity disposed in the first side, the cavity sized to receive a portion of an expandable device;   a flange adjacent to the cavity and configured to releasably engage a portion of the expandable device;   wherein the flange at least partially surrounds a portion of the expandable device when the expandable device is locked to the body.   
     
     
         2 . The accessory of  claim 1 , further comprising a collar extending away from the first side of the body and defining the cavity, the collar adjacent to the flange. 
     
     
         3 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the collar is configured to rotatably couple to a portion of an expandable device. 
     
     
         4 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the second side comprises a cavity sized to receive a portion of an expandable device. 
     
     
         5 . The accessory of  claim 4 , wherein the cavity of the first side and the cavity of the second side are axially aligned. 
     
     
         6 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first side is removably attached to the second side. 
     
     
         7 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first side is attached to the second side by a snap-fit connection. 
     
     
         8 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first side is integrated with the loop and the second side is removably coupled to the first side. 
     
     
         9 . The accessory of  claim 1 , further comprising a plate disposed between the first side and the second side of the body, the first side coupled to the second side via the plate. 
     
     
         10 . The accessory of  claim 9 , wherein the loop is coupled to the body via the plate. 
     
     
         11 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the first side, the second side, and the loop form an integrated component. 
     
     
         12 . The accessory of  claim 1 , wherein the loop comprises a clasp. 
     
     
         13 . A storage accessory for an expandable device, the accessory comprising:
 a body having a platform and perimeter edge, the platform having a cavity sized to receive a portion of an expandable device;   a loop coupled to the body and extending from the perimeter edge of the body.   
     
     
         14 . The accessory of  claim 13 , wherein the platform includes a collar extending away from a surface of the platform and defining the opening. 
     
     
         15 . The accessory of  claim 14 , wherein the platform includes a base recessed from the collar and at least partially defining the cavity such that the cavity is disposed between the collar and the base of the platform. 
     
     
         16 . The accessory of  claim 14 , wherein the platform includes a flange extending inwardly into the cavity from the collar, the flange configured to engage a portion of an expandable device. 
     
     
         17 . The accessory of  claim 13 , wherein the body further comprises a second platform having a cavity sized to receive a portion of an expandable device. 
     
     
         18 . The accessory of  claim 17 , further comprising a plate disposed between the first and second platforms, the loop attached to the plate. 
     
     
         19 . The accessory of  claim 18 , wherein the plate is coupled to a side of each of the first and second platforms. 
     
     
         20 . The accessory of  claim 17 , wherein the first platform is separable from the second platform.

         29 . A storage accessory for an expandable device, the accessory comprising:
 a body defining a platform and perimeter edge, the platform having a cavity;   a loop coupled to the body and extending from the perimeter edge of the body;   an expandable device comprising:   a device body including a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis, the device body movable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration; and   a locking device carried by the second end of the device body, at least a portion of the locking device removably disposed in the cavity of the platform for releasably coupling the device body of the expandable device to the platform.   
     
     
         30 . The accessory of  claim 29 , wherein the platform includes a collar extending away from a surface of the platform and defining the opening. 
     
     
         31 . The accessory of  claim 30 , wherein the platform includes a base recessed from the collar and at least partially defining the cavity such that the cavity is disposed between the collar and the base of the platform. 
     
     
         32 . The accessory of  claim 30 , wherein the platform includes a flange extending inwardly into the cavity from the collar, the flange configured to engage a portion of an expandable device. 
     
     
         33 . The accessory of  claim 29 , wherein the body further comprises a second platform having a cavity sized to receive a portion of an expandable device. 
     
     
         34 . The accessory of  claim 33 , further comprising a plate disposed between the first and second platforms, the loop attached to the plate. 
     
     
         35 . The accessory of  claim 34 , wherein the plate is coupled to a side of each of the first and second platforms. 
     
     
         36 . The accessory of  claim 33 , wherein the first platform, the second platform, and the loop are an integrated component. 
     
     
         37 . The accessory of  claim 13 , wherein the loop comprises a clasp.
