Abstract
A self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat including a rubberlike planar portion having a raised perimeter delimiting at least one concavity above an upper surface and a suffuse undersurface disposed for sealable contact with an underlying surface upon which said mat is disposed, said sealable contact preventative of lateral displacement of the planar portion across the underlying surface, wherein said sealable contact creates a partial vacuum when attempts to separate the undersurface from the underlying surface are made except at an outer edge of the planar portion, whereby removal of the planar portion from the underlying surface is effective only by peeling the undersurface from the underlying surface starting first at the outer edge.

a rubberlike mat having an outer perimeter edge, wherein said rubberlike mat is configured to yield to the touch; a rubberlike food receptacle integrally positioned centrally and on a top surface of said rubberlike mat and configured to retain food within said rubberlike food receptacle, wherein said rubberlike food receptacle comprises a peripheral wall extending upward from said rubberlike mat; wherein said rubberlike mat is configured such that when said rubberlike mat is positioned on an underlying surface a young child grasping and lifting said peripheral wall in any direction creates a partial vacuum under at least a portion of said rubberlike mat effectively preventing the young child from lifting the rubberlike mat against an ambient atmospheric pressure; wherein said rubberlike mat is configured such that when said rubberlike mat is positioned on an underlying surface the young child can remove the rubberlike mat from the underlying surface by peeling the outer perimeter edge of the rubberlike mat upward; and wherein said rubberlike mat does not require any adhesive or suction cup on a bottom surface to prevent the young child from lifting the rubberlike mat.

The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of chain 1 wherein said rubberlike mat is configured such that said partial vacuum is maintained the ambient atmospheric pressure exerted upon said outer perimeter edge preventing ambient air from travelling under the rubberlike mat to the partial vacuum.
3 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 2 , wherein the rubberlike mat and the rubberlike food receptacle are wrought of a same material.
4 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 3 , wherein said same material further comprises a silicone.
5 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 , wherein said rubberlike mat and said rubberlike food receptacle comprise a nontoxic rubberlike polymer.
6 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 wherein said rubberlike mat comprises a raised perimeter configured to collect spillage from said rubberlike food receptacle.
7 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 , wherein said rubberlike food receptacle comprises a bowl.
8 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 , wherein said rubberlike food receptacle is divided into at least two food receptacles.
9 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 8 , wherein said at least two food receptacles are arranged in a shape of a face.
10 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 , wherein said self sealing integrated tableware and dining mat has a weight to enable the ambient atmospheric pressure to maintain it on a vertical surface.
11 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 , wherein said partial vacuum is formed without any downward pressure on said self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat.
12 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 1 , wherein said rubberlike mat resists lateral displacement when a lateral force is applied to said rubberlike food receptacle by the young child when said rubberlike mat is positioned on an underlying surface.
13 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 2 , wherein said rubberlike mat comprises a bottom surface sufficiently planar to prevent the ambient air from travelling under the rubberlike mat to the partial vacuum.
14 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 2 , wherein said rubberlike mat comprises a substantially planar undersurface.
15 . A self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat compromising:
a rubberlike mat comprising an impermeable material, wherein said rubberlike mat having an outer perimeter edge, wherein said rubberlike mat is constructed to yield to the touch; at least one rubberlike food receptacle integrally positioned on a top surface of said rubberlike mat and configured to retain food within said rubberlike food receptacle, wherein said rubberlike food receptacle is defined by a peripheral wall extending upward from said rubberlike mat; wherein said rubberlike mat is configured such that when said rubberlike mat is positioned on an underlying surface a young child grasping and lifting said peripheral wall in any direction creates a partial vacuum under at least a portion of said rubberlike mat effectively preventing the young child from lifting the rubberlike mat against an ambient atmospheric pressure; and wherein said rubberlike mat does not require any adhesive or suction cup on its bottom surface to prevent the young child from lifting the rubberlike mat.
16 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 15 , wherein said rubberlike mat comprises a substantially planar undersurface.
17 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 15 , wherein said rubberlike mat can be removed from the underlying surface by the yong child peeling upward the outer perimeter edge.
18 . The self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat of claim 15 , wherein said at least one rubberlike food receptacle comprises at least two food compartments.
19 . A self-sealing integrated tableware and dining mat compromising:
a rubberlike mat having an outer perimeter edge, wherein said rubberlike mat is configured to yield to the touch; a rubberlike food receptacle integrally formed on a top surface of said rubberlike mat and configured to retain food within said rubberlike food receptacle, wherein said rubberlike food receptacle comprises a peripheral wall extending upward from said top surface; wherein said rubberlike mat is configured such that when said rubberlike mat is positioned on an underlying surface a young child grasping and lifting said peripheral wall in any direction creates a partial vacuum under at least a portion of said rubberlike mat effectively preventing the young child from lifting the rubberlike mat against an ambient atmospheric pressure; wherein said rubberlike mat is configured such when said rubberlike mat is positioned on an underlying surface a young child can remove the rubberlike mat from the underlying surface by peeling the outer perimeter edge of the rubberlike mat upward; and wherein said rubberlike mat does not require any adhesive or suction cup to prevent the young child from lifting the rubberlike mat.
