Jewelry

Abstract

This disclosure includes jewelry that has an arcuate first body with opposite first and second ends, each end defining an opening. An arcuate second body has an end with a hinge element in the opening of the first end of the first body to provide pivot capability between the first and second bodies. An arcuate third body has an end with a hinge element in the opening of the second end of the first body to provide pivot capability between the first and third bodies.

1 . Jewelry comprising:
 an arcuate first body comprising opposite first and second ends, each end defining an opening;   an arcuate second body having an end comprising a hinge element in the opening of the first end of the first body to provide pivot capability between the first and second bodies; and   an arcuate third body having an end comprising a hinge element in the opening of the second end of the first body to provide pivot capability between the first and third bodies, the arcuate third body received over the arcuate second body.   
     
     
         2 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein an entirety of the third body comprises a solid structure devoid of openings other than an opening to receive the hinge element. 
     
     
         3 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein an entirety of the third body comprises a solid structure having a width dimension greater than a thickness dimension. 
     
     
         4 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein the second body comprises a trench defined in an upper periphery surface. 
     
     
         5 . The jewelry of  claim 4  wherein the third body is received in the trench. 
     
     
         6 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein upper periphery surfaces of at least two of the first, second and third bodies comprises the same arc dimensions. 
     
     
         7 . The jewelry of  claim 1  comprises a closed orientation with at least one of the inner and outer peripheries not configured as an arc in its entirety.

         21 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein:
 the second body comprises a trench defined in an upper surface; and 
 the third body is received in the trench wherein the upper surface of the second body and a portion of an upper surface of the third body are congruent. 
 
     
     
         22 . The jewelry of  claim 21  wherein a terminal end of the third body opposite the end comprising the hinge element is not conformal with the upper surface of the second body and extends outwardly from the trench. 
     
     
         23 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein the second body comprises:
 a trench defined in an upper surface; and 
 a circular opening in a bottom surface of the trench. 
 
     
     
         24 . The jewelry of  claim 23  wherein a lower surface of the third body comprises a projection extending outwardly from the lower surface, the projection received in the circular opening in the trench when the jewelry is in the closed orientation. 
     
     
         25 . The jewelry of  claim 1  wherein a lower surface of the third body comprises a projection extending outwardly from the lower surface. 
     
     
         26 . Jewelry comprising a plurality of arcuate bodies hinged together and comprising a ring in a closed orientation, the plurality of arcuate bodies comprising the same width dimensions wherein opposite sides of the arcuate bodies each define planes which are parallel to one another. 
     
     
         27 . The jewelry of  claim 26  wherein the ring comprises three arcuate bodies and wherein the plurality of arcuate bodies comprises two of the three arcuate bodies. 
     
     
         28 . The jewelry of  claim 27  wherein the two of the three arcuate bodies define upper surfaces that are congruent. 
     
     
         29 . Jewelry comprising:
 a first body comprising a first terminal end, a first recess extending from the first terminal end into the first body;   a second body comprising a terminus; and   a first hinge element extending outwardly from the first terminus of the second body, the first hinge element operatively coupled in the first recess of the first body.   
     
     
         30 . The jewelry of  claim 29  wherein the first body comprises a second terminal end opposite from the first terminal end, a second recess extending from the second terminal end into the first body; 
     
     
         31 . The jewelry of  claim 29  further comprising:
 a third body comprising a terminal end; 
 a second hinge element extending outwardly from the terminal end of the third body, the second hinge element being operatively coupled in the second recess of the first body. 
 
     
     
         32 . The jewelry of  claim 29  wherein the first hinge element and the first recess are both configured in a rectangular shape.
