Abstract
Methods and apparatus for controlling assets relating to the based upon creation and redemption of Compound Redeemable Instruments. Apparatus include server executing executable software to designate specific assets for joint redemption and allocating a predetermined number of the specified assets for distribution based upon a joint redemption. Joint redemption may include redemption of two disparate classes of financial instruments.

1 . A method for distributing assets, the method comprising the steps of:
a) designating, with a computer processor, one or more specified assets for joint redemption; b) creating an investment vehicle issuer; c) defining two disparate classes of financial instruments; d) issuing jointly redeemable financial instruments for the two disparate classes of financial instruments; e) determining whether a regulating entity regulates the jointly redeemable financial instruments for the two disparate classes of financial instruments; f) if it is determined that a regulating entity regulates the jointly redeemable financial instruments for the two disparate classes of financial instruments, registering the jointly redeemable financial instruments with the regulating entity; g) jointly issuing to a purchaser said jointly redeemable financial instruments for a pre-determined quantity of the specified assets; h) receiving the specified assets based upon issuing the jointly redeemable financial instruments; i) holding the received specified assets until occurrence of a joint redemption of the jointly redeemable financial instruments; j) allocating, with the computer processor, the predetermined number of specified assets; k) jointly redeeming issued jointly redeemable financial instruments; and l) distributing to the purchaser the predetermined number of specified assets allocated to the joint redemption.
2 . The method of claim 2 additionally comprising the steps of:
using the computer processor, calculating at multiple instances of chronological time, a current minimum number of specified assets attributable to a least number of jointly redeemable financial instruments;
allocating, using the computer processor, a current minimum number of specified assets at a specific instance of time, to a least number of jointly redeemable financial instruments in a joint redemption;
attributing a valuation to said least number of jointly redeemable financial instruments based on a current market valuation of said current minimum number of specified assets at a specific instance of time.
3 . The method of claim 2 additionally comprising the steps of reducing the current minimum number of specified assets at a specific instance of time by allocation of one or both of a fee and an expense.
4 . The method of claim 3 additionally comprising the step of repeating steps 1 . a)-1) at successive points in time based upon multiples of a least number of jointly redeemable financial instruments and a current minimum number of specified assets.
5 . The method of claim 1 wherein receiving specified assets and distributing specified assets may include cash equivalents.
6 . The method of claim 1 wherein the step of issuing jointly redeemable financial instruments for the two disparate classes of financial instruments is performed by an comprising one of: a fund, a trust, a partnership, a corporation, and a special purpose entity.
7 . The method of claim 1 wherein the jointly redeemable financial instruments of the issuer may include any one or more disparate classes of: equity interests, fixed income interests, hybrids, contracts, agreements, obligations, rights certificates or receipts.
8 . The method of claim 1 wherein one or more jointly redeemable financial instruments of the issuer may be traded on one or more of a public or private exchange, electronic communications network or inter-dealer market.
9 . The method of claim 1 wherein the specified assets may include any one or more of: cash, currency equivalents, physical assets and financial instruments, including Ordinary Redeemable Instruments
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the creating, registering and jointly issuing are based on one or more of: a banking, marketing, distribution, listing, trading, operating, administrative, accounting, legal, regulatory, economic, management, revenue, or cost consideration.
