Systems and methods for monitoring, evaluation, and treatment
Abstract
A computer-implemented method, a computer program product, and a system are provided. A plurality of multi-level cognitive exercises are provided to an individual. Each of the multi-level cognitive exercises includes at least one task to perform. The individual is requested to respond to a cognitive exercise in the plurality of cognitive exercises by performing the at least one task contained in the cognitive exercise. A response provided by the individual to the cognitive exercise is monitored. Based on the monitoring, a determination is made whether the individual performed the at least one task at a predetermined performance level, wherein the performance level is defined by the at least one task contained in the cognitive exercise. Based on the determining, the individual is requested to perform at least another task. At least one activity for the individual to perform is generated. The at least one activity is based on responses to the multi-level cognitive exercises by the individual.

determine, based on the evaluation, whether the neurocognitive system requires further remediation; and adjust the treatment plan based, least in part, on the determination of whether the neurocognitive system requires further remediation.
53 . The computerized system of claim 45 , wherein the treatment plan includes at least one social intervention, and wherein the at least one computer processor is further programmed to instruct the individual to perform the task and/or the selected physical activity exercise in accordance with the at least one social intervention.
54 . A computer-implemented method of providing individualized brain training to an individual using a treatment plan that includes a plurality of computer-implemented cognitive exercises and a plurality of physical activity exercises, the method comprising:
providing, via a user interface configured to display a visualization associated with the plurality of cognitive exercises, a task included in at least one of the plurality of computer-implemented cognitive exercises for the individual to perform, wherein the task is configured to activate one or more neurocognitive systems of the individual during performance of the task; receiving, via the user interface, a plurality of responses from the individual as the individual performs the task; identifying, based at least in part, on the responses provided by the individual, a neurocognitive system of the one or more neurocognitive systems of the individual for remediation; selecting a physical activity exercise from the plurality of physical activity exercises, wherein the selected physical activity exercise is configured to activate the neurocognitive system identified for remediation; and instructing the individual to perform the selected physical activity exercise to train the neurocognitive system, wherein the selected physical activity exercise is adapted to be performed separately from the task included in the at least one of the plurality of cognitive exercises.
55 . The computer-implemented method of claim 54 , wherein the selected physical activity exercise involves one or more cognitive functions selected from the group consisting of internally-focused sustained attention, externally-focused sustained attention, response inhibition, motor inhibition, multiple simultaneous attention, working memory directed attention, and pattern generated motor activity.
56 . The computer-implemented method of claim 54 , wherein instructing the individual to perform the selected physical activity exercise comprises instructing the individual via the user interface.
57 . The computer-implemented method of claim 54 , further comprising monitoring performance of the selected physical exercise task by the individual.
58 . The computer-implemented method of claim 54 , further comprising generating an exercise program for the individual that includes at least the selected physical activity exercise.
59 . The computer-implemented method of claim 54 , further comprising:
instructing the individual to perform another task included in at least one of the plurality of computer-implemented cognitive exercises after the individual has completed performing the selected physical activity exercise, wherein the another task is configured to activate the neurocognitive system identified for remediation; receiving a plurality of responses from the individual as the individual performs the another task; and evaluating an effect of performance of the selected physical exercise on training of the neurocognitive system.
