Dietary supplement formulations

Abstract

Provided herein are formulations and methods helping individuals enhance cognitive function, facilitate memory processing, induce and maintain sleep, stabilize mood, reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety, facilitate energy production, improve mental and emotional health, or support long-term brain health.

         21 . An orally administered supplement formulation, comprising:
 a. one or more adaptogens;   b. one or more antioxidants; and   c. cayenne pepper.   
     
     
         22 . The formulation of  claim 21 , wherein said one or more adaptogens comprise ginseng root, ginkgo leaf extract, or rhodiola root extract. 
     
     
         23 . The formulation of  claim 22 , wherein said ginseng root, rhodiola root extract, or combination thereof is present in said formulation, individually, in an amount of from about 0.5 mg to about 4 mg. 
     
     
         24 . The formulation of  claim 22 , wherein said ginkgo leaf extract is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 80 mg. 
     
     
         25 . The formulation of  claim 21 , wherein said one or more antioxidants comprise green tea leaf extract or ginger root extract. 
     
     
         26 . The formulation of  claim 25 , wherein said green tea leaf extract is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 50 mg to about 600 mg. 
     
     
         27 . The formulation of  claim 25 , wherein said ginger root extract is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 80 mg. 
     
     
         28 . The formulation of  claim 21 , wherein said cayenne pepper is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 8 mg to about 30 mg. 
     
     
         29 . An orally administered supplement formulation, comprising:
 a. an antioxidant;   b. one or more redox cofactors;   c. dimethylaminoethanol; and   d. an amino acid or a salt thereof,
 wherein said amino acid or a salt thereof is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 400 mg. 
   
     
     
         30 . The formulation of  claim 29 , wherein said amino acid is L-theanine. 
     
     
         31 . The formulation of  claim 29 , wherein said antioxidant comprises resveratrol or a salt thereof, wherein said resveratrol is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 8 mg to about 30 mg. 
     
     
         32 . The formulation of  claim 29 , wherein said dimethylaminoethanol or a salt thereof is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 8 mg to about 30 mg. 
     
     
         33 . The formulation of  claim 29 , wherein said one or more redox cofactors comprise bacopa leaf extract or pyrroloquinoline quinone or a salt thereof. 
     
     
         34 . The formulation of  claim 33 , wherein said bacopa leaf extract is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 600 mg. 
     
     
         35 . The formulation of  claim 33 , wherein said pyrroloquinoline quinone is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 0.1 mg to about 4 mg. 
     
     
         36 . An orally administered supplement formulation in unit dose form, comprising:
 a. creatine;   b. one or more amino acids; and   c. an antioxidant,
 wherein said antioxidant is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 150 mg. 
   
     
     
         37 . The formulation of  claim 36 , wherein said antioxidant comprises taurine or a salt thereof 
     
     
         38 . The formulation of  claim 36 , wherein said creatine is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 50 mg. 
     
     
         39 . The formulation of  claim 36 , wherein said one or more amino acids comprise DL-phenylalanine, L-tyrosine or a salt thereof, L-arginine or a salt thereof, or 5-hydroxytryptophan, wherein said DL-phenylalanine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, or combination thereof is present in said formulation, individually, in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 150 mg. 
     
     
         40 . The formulation of  claim 39 , wherein said 5-hydroxytryptophan is present in said formulation in an amount of from about 10 mg to about 50 mg.
