Abstract

The present disclosure provides a platform system for a boat, including a wake tow tower, a platform supported on the wake tow tower, a safety rail above the platform, and a stabilizing fin supported at least partially below a waterline adjacent a major side of the hull to resist uncontrolled movement of the boat during usage of the platform by a person.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A platform system for a boat, the boat having a hull, said platform system comprising:
a platform support structure including a wake tow tower mounted on the hull; a platform configured to be mounted on said platform support structure at a platform vertical position spaced above a main deck of the hull, said platform having a deck surface, said platform configured to support a person on said deck surface; and a stabilizing keel assembly having a stabilizing fin located at least partially below a waterline proximate a major side of the hull to resist uncontrolled movement of the boat during use of the platform.

         2 . A system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a safety structure configured to be mounted on one of the wake tow tower and said platform, said safety structure configured to retain a person on said deck surface in relation to a perimeter of said platform.

         3 . A system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a springboard member associated with said platform.

4 . A system according to claim 1 , the wake tow tower including an identified rope connection point configured for receiving a tow rope.

5 . A system according to claim 1 , said stabilizing fin spaced below said platform.

6 . A system according to claim 1 , said stabilizing fin being supported by an elongated fin-supporting member mounted to the wake tow tower.

7 . A system according to claim 1 , said stabilizing keel assembly comprising a pair of said stabilizing fin, each stabilizing fin proximate a respective major side of the hull.

8 . A system according to claim 1 , said stabilizing fin supported by the hull.

         9 . A system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
said safety structure having a safety rail at a safety rail vertical position spaced above the platform vertical position.

10 . A platform system for a boat, the boat having a hull, said platform system comprising:
a platform support structure configured to be mounted to a wake tow tower mounted on the hull; a platform configured to be mounted on said platform support structure at a platform vertical position spaced above a main deck of the hull, said platform having a deck surface, said platform configured to support a person on said deck surface; and a stabilizing keel assembly having a stabilizing fin located at least partially below a waterline proximate a major side of the hull to resist uncontrolled movement of the boat during use of the platform.

         11 . A system according to claim 10 , further comprising:
a safety structure configured to be mounted on one of the wake tow tower and said platform, said safety structure configured to retain a person on said deck surface in relation to a perimeter of said platform.

         12 . A system according to claim 10 , further comprising:
a springboard member associated with said platform.

13 . A system according to claim 10 , the wake tow tower including an identified rope connection point configured for receiving a tow rope.

14 . A system according to claim 10 , said stabilizing fin spaced below said platform.

15 . A system according to claim 10 , said stabilizing fin being supported by an elongated fin-supporting member mounted to the wake tow tower.

16 . A system according to claim 10 , said stabilizing keel assembly comprising a pair of said stabilizing fin, each stabilizing fin proximate a respective major side of the hull.

17 . A system according to claim 10 , said stabilizing fin supported by the hull.

         18 . A system according to claim 10 , comprising:
said safety structure having a safety rail at a safety rail vertical position spaced above the platform vertical position.

19 . A platform system for a boat, the boat having a hull, said platform system comprising:
a platform support structure configured to be mounted to a wake tow tower mounted on the hull; and a platform configured to be mounted on said platform support structure at a platform vertical position spaced above a main deck of the hull, said platform having a deck surface, said platform configured to support a person on said deck surface.

         20 . A system according to claim 19 , comprising:
a stabilizing keel assembly having a stabilizing fin located at least partially below a waterline proximate a major side of the hull to resist uncontrolled movement of the boat during use of the platform.
