Abstract

A straightening apparatus includes a primary plate, a movable plate, upper and lower pressing wheels and a guiding wheel. The movable plate is movable relative to the primary plate between an open position and a closed position. The upper pressing wheels are connected to the movable plate. The lower pressing wheels are connected to the primary plate. The guiding wheel is connected to the primary plate. The upper pressing wheels are located closer to the lower pressing wheels in the closed position than the open position. The tube can be located between the upper and lower pressing wheels in the open position. The upper and lower wheels together provide a straightening passage for straightening the tube in the closed position. The tube is pressed by the guiding wheel before the tube is straightened in the straightening passage.

1 . A straightening apparatus comprising:
 a primary plate ( 11 );   a movable plate ( 20 ) movable relative to the primary plate ( 11 ) between an open position and a closed position;   upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) connected to the movable plate ( 20 ); and   lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) connected to the primary plate ( 11 );   wherein the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) are located closer to the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) in the closed position than in the open position;   wherein a tube ( 52 ) can be located between the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) and the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) in the open position;   wherein the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) and the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) together provide a straightening passage ( 48 ) for straightening the tube ( 52 ) in the closed position.   
     
     
         2 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 2 , further comprising:
 an upper plank ( 50 ) located between and connected to the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) and the movable plate ( 20 ); and   a lower plank ( 53 ) located between and connected to the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) and the primary plate ( 11 ).   
     
     
         3 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the lower plank ( 53 ) is made with width identical to that of the upper plank ( 50 ) plus that of the movable plate ( 20 ). 
     
     
         4 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 2 , further comprising a guiding wheel ( 44 ) connected to the primary plate ( 11 ), wherein the tube ( 52 ) is pressed by the guiding wheel ( 44 ) before the tube ( 52 ) is straightened in the straightening passage ( 48 ). 
     
     
         5 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 4 , further comprising a supporting element ( 81 ) for pivotally connecting the guiding wheel ( 44 ) to the lower plank ( 53 ).

The straightening apparatus according to  claim 5 , further comprising a spring ( 58 ) compressed between a portion of the supporting element ( 81 ) and a portion of the lower plank ( 53 ), thereby biasing another portion of the supporting element ( 81 ) toward another portion of the lower plank ( 53 ). 
     
     
         7 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 6 , further comprising adjusting element ( 82 ) connected to the lower plank ( 53 ) and abutted against the supporting element ( 81 ) so that the adjusting element ( 82 ) is operable to move the supporting element ( 81 ) away from the lower plank ( 53 ) against the spring ( 58 ). 
     
     
         8 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 7 , wherein the lower plank ( 53 ) comprises a lowered portion ( 56 ) formed at a front end and two lateral portions ( 57 ) extending from the lowered portion ( 56 ), wherein the supporting element ( 81 ) comprises a tail ( 83 ) located between and pivotally connected to the lateral portions ( 57 ), wherein the spring ( 58 ) is compressed between the tail ( 83 ) and the lowered portion ( 56 ), wherein the adjusting element ( 82 ) is connected to the lowered portion ( 56 ). 
     
     
         9 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the tail ( 83 ) transversely extends from an end of the supporting element ( 81 ). 
     
     
         10 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the adjusting element ( 82 ) is a threaded bolt, wherein the lowered portion ( 56 ) is made with a screw hole ( 563 ) for receiving the adjusting element ( 82 ). 
     
     
         11 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 8 , further comprising a lateral wheel ( 46 ) attached to the lowered portion ( 56 ), wherein the lateral wheel ( 46 ) and the guiding wheel ( 44 ) are located on two opposite sides of the lower plank ( 53 ). 
     
     
         12 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising threaded bolts ( 30 ) for pivotally connecting the movable plate ( 20 ) to the primary plate ( 11 ), wherein the movable plate ( 20 ) comprises apertures ( 22 ) for non-movably receiving the threaded bolts ( 30 ), wherein the primary plate ( 11 ) comprises limiting slots ( 12 ) for movably receiving the threaded bolts ( 30 ). 
     
     
         13 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising lubricant provided between the primary plate ( 11 ) and the movable plate ( 20 ). 
     
     
         14 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising a rotatable plate ( 60 ) and a driving element ( 34 ) for interconnecting the primary plate ( 11 ), the movable plate ( 20 ) and the rotatable plate ( 60 ). 
     
     
         15 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 14 , wherein the primary plate ( 11 ) comprises an arched slot ( 14 ) for movably receiving the driving element ( 34 ), wherein the movable plate ( 20 ) comprises a horizontal slot ( 21 ) for movably receiving the driving element ( 34 ), wherein the rotatable plate ( 60 ) comprises an aperture ( 62 ) for non-movably receiving the driving element ( 34 ). 
     
     
         16 . The straightening apparatus according to  claim 15 , wherein the arched slot ( 14 ) and the horizontal slot ( 21 ) intersect, wherein the driving element ( 34 ) is located at the point of intersection of the arched slot ( 14 ) and horizontal slot ( 21 ). 
     
     
         17 . A straightening apparatus comprising:
 a primary plate ( 11 );   a movable plate ( 20 ) movable relative to the primary plate ( 11 ) between an open position and a closed position;   upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) connected to the movable plate ( 20 );   lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) connected to the primary plate ( 11 ); and   a guiding wheel ( 44 ) connected to the primary plate ( 11 );   wherein the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) is located closer to the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) in the closed position than the open position;   wherein a tube ( 52 ) can be located between the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) and the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) in the open position;   wherein the upper pressing wheels ( 40 ) and the lower pressing wheels ( 42 ) together provide a straightening passage ( 48 ) for straightening the tube ( 52 ) in the closed position; and   wherein the tube ( 52 ) is pressed by the guiding wheel ( 44 ) before the tube ( 52 ) is straightened in the straightening passage ( 48 ).
